Finally got time to take mod pics of my Rocabar and Alamo ponchos together under natural light.
Please ignore the wrinkles on my Rocabar as I just took it out from the bottom of my winter closet. :P

tammywks, thank you so much for taking these photos outdoors...it really shows the true colors beautifully! I love both colors on you (and I really love your RV shoes too!!).

Thanks, tammy, for the comparison pics ~ I could not find a photo of the Alamo poncho anywhere! This is very helpful and you look great in both ponchos.

My pleasure, VigeeLeBrun. Here's a close-up of the Alamo for you. :)

Welcome, HfromT.

RV shoes are always a perfect match with H items.

Oh gosh, I like them both! These side by side pics are great :smile1: thanks!

Thanks, rainneday. Yes, both ponchos are great. It's really hard to tell which I love more.

Here is mine! It is incredibly soft! Usually I am way too sensitive for any kind of wool! I love it! It will look perfect with my etoupe kelly boots.

Ohhh, lovely64, this looks perfect on you, and will definitely be a great match with your etoupe riding boots! You are way better at taking selfies than I am...my attempts to photograph my anthracite poncho on myself were a complete fail!

So envious of those who look good in the poncho. Although I didn't think the style would look good on me, I couldn't resist checking it out while at the store yesterday after reading all the comments here!:p As expected, I totally looked short and dumpy in it. You ladies must be tall and slim like models! :flowers:
I also have trouble fitting into jumping boots, so I am thinking there is a direct positive association between those who look good in jumping boots and poncho and vice versa (those who don't look good in jumping boots don't look good in poncho)

Hi Kitty S...I am only 5" 4" and 120-ish lbs, so I'm neither tall nor particularly slender, but I am really loving the anthracite poncho I just purchased. I am also unable to fit my calves into the H jumping boots (I suppose I can thank genetics and weight training for that), so I've been wearing ankle booties and Prada riding boots with my poncho. But it's definitely a look one has to be comfortable with. As someone said in this thread, it's all about adopting a certain attitude when wearing it!

Here is a photo I took today, in bright light by a window. I think it shows the true color of the anthracite poncho....

That goes my theory! LOL!
You are tallER than me, and I would kill for those two extra inches! But certainly it's the attitude. Maybe I should amend the theory to those who have the attitude to wear boots, but I am sure I will get exceptions to that too :p
You did a great job combining the scarf and poncho. Enjoy!

I think so many of us would like to borrow a few inches from others! And thank you for the compliment on the scarf/poncho combination ( that cw of La Femme is my favorite scarf).
