Many congrats on the anthracite poncho, HfromT. I tried it last week in Madrid, they had yours, a dark navy and a beautiful gold... well, I don't know if it was because all those years living in Argentina that I felt as if there was only the guitar left! I can't wait to see your IA pictures.

Ahhh, I can see how living in Argentina could influence your views on this piece! Thankfully you have your stunning new Tigre Royale shawl to wrap around your elegant shoulders :love:

VigeeLeBrun, I really thought this would not be my style either, but it ended up being a match made in Heaven! I am a girl who loves very simple, classic clothing. The Row and Celine (with a little JCrew thrown in for good measure) are my go-to lines. I don't like any fuss on my clothes....all clean lines, boring old classic colors. But as soon as I put this on in the store (I was wearing black skinny Frame denim jeans, Celine chelsea boots, and a navy cashmere Equipment sweater) it all fell into place. Definitely worth a trip to H for you to see if either Rocabar or Alamo works for you. Personally, I think you would look amazing with either, wearing skinny jeans, riding boots, etc.
Welcome to the club, HfromT!
I can't wait to see your mod shots. I know I will go for a second in the Rocabar. I am debating between the Paille and the Anthracite. The Paille might brighten my skin tone, but the Anthricite just looks so classic. It sounds like we have similar tastes (Clean lines, neutral colors) so I'm thrilled to hear it works with your wardrobe.

Well you have such exquisite taste, Monceau, so I have no doubt you'll look incredible in either cw. I have a feeling, having seen some of your photos, you might end up with the anthracite. Will post photos of mine tomorrow in natural light, so I can hopefully capture the true colors.

This is quite the dilemma . . . so I will just whisper that the paille is impossibly fun and the anthracite impossibly chic. :p

Pierina, I don't think you've ever posted a photo that didn't make me want every single thing you were wearing in it, and this is no exception! I am definitely not boho either, however, so I can understand your hesitation about anything that tilts that way, although I think you're the sort of person whose entire aspect and manner is more than capable of un-boho-ing even the most boho.

Oh calexandre, you're so kind! The truth is, if the colors had all been my favorites I'd be wrapped up in it right now. That was the most imortant thing. It's awful for a loyal H fan to admit but I just can't wear orange. :smile1:

Oh , this thread is SO much fun, effervescent and constantly drawing in new afficionados .
Monceau love that your journey has gone from 1 to zero to 1 and now to 2 ...
Isn't it weird that we can see ourselves so critically sometimes that things can seem wrong when they are so very right ?

I promise to try to take better photos of me in the only full-length mirror we have, once my daughter wakes up (mirror is in her room!). But for now, I tried to capture the color of this poncho in the best available light (it's dark and rainy here this morning). Here you go, Rocabar cw #04 (anthracite)....

I picked up my #04 this morning, I still haven't tried it on properly at home. The colour looks more like blue than grey to me.....

It is a difficult color to define, isn't it duna? To my 53 year-old eyes, it reads a mix of grey and blue, but more the former than the latter. If it wasn't raining here today, I would go outside and take photos of it in natural light in order to get a better read on the color.

LOL, my eyes are older than yours, so it might be me who see's it more blue! It's grey here too (the weather), maybe tomorrow if it's a bit sunnier I can try and take pics aswell. To me the one that looks closer of your pics is the first one.....
