my first box leather! Bolide 27 from 1995 in color Bleu marine. i like it so much.
My BBB which was offered to me by my very excited SA and SM quite a few years ago. When this push offer arrived in store they kindly thought of me. Still looking rather new after more than a decade and when I travel back to visit, my SM still offers me the Box bags she has in the back.
I am looking for a vintage box Kelly in bleu marine. I have found one from the 90s with minimal signs of wear. It does seem a bit dry on the flap especially where the flap folds. When it is open the leather is not completely smooth to the touch and small wrinkles appear.
I have a Kelly wallet in black box that I bought new almost ten years ago. When the flap is open there are also wrinkles where the flap folds but the leather feels smoother.
Do you think this is normal for a bag of this age or should it concern me?

It'll be quite an easy job for an H Spa treatment even if needed.
Remember whole decades of box have a different feel and weight, sometimes even batches

My new to me Kelly 28 in Indigo. Found on FP. I'm still deciding if I should keep (opinions pls). If I do decide to keep (90% there), it will definitely be going to the Hermes Spa for some love

It absolutely works in my wardrobe. Navy Blue is my favorite color and as beautiful as the Black Box Kellys are I knew if a Navy popped up, I would jump on it.

2008 Box Birkin 35 with GHW. SO from FSH in 2008 (on our honeymoon). Has been spa'd by H twice. Just conditioned & polished over the weekend and it looks even better now than in this photo....
Also my Kelly 32 in Terre Box...from 2010!

Looks like box leather will be around in 2022/23.

Unless there is some compelling reason not to keep it, if you don't it's a decision you will come to regret:
it's a special bag, in a special leather and a really special colour
