I have wanted a box bag for so long. In the past year or so I turned down Box Sellier B25 (only because I took something else instead) and Box Constance (too similar to something I already own). This time finally the right one for me came along! K25 in Bleu Abysse with Permabrass hardware.
Wow wow wow! This my first time to see Bleu Abysse in Box and it is fantastic! It looks great with the permabrass hardware.
I’ve been looking for a late ’80s/early ’90s box calf Kelly for ages, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found this beauty. The seller told me the color is Bleu Saphir, but I forgot to confirm it at the Hermès atelier when I brought her in for cleaning and repair.
When she arrived, the box leather was in lovely vintage condition, but the hardware was very tarnished and the touret was loose. The H artisan worked magic: they polished the hardware beautifully, and I decided to have the touret replaced. I still can’t believe I found the exact bag I’d been hoping for all along. 💙
There's an oft used phrase about how well Hermes does colour.
Perhaps Hermes also does blues even better than anything else.
