Joining the club with my Constance 18, fresh from the boutique! I had a C18 in my wish list in other leathers (Epsom, Tadelakt) but my wonderful SA offered this to me and I couldn’t say no . I took her out for the first time yesterday and it got its first scratch, which made me almost cry Anyway I was expecting this to come, so I’ll learn to take a deep breath and enjoy it. Thanks for letting me share! ♥️

Very short but sad story: yesterday I was offered a K25 Sellier in Black Box with PHW, my HG bag. I had to pass on it as it had a deep scratch on the front. I was so sad I had to refuse such a rare and gorgeous piece :crybaby:
Hope I'll be offered the same again one day, maybe not a defective one :facepalm:

It is very rare to get an offer like this: popular size with box calf leather. Why the boutique didn’t offer to fix the scratch for you? Was it too deep to do anything, I am surprised that they still want to make the sale, and knowing it is a bit damaged or has defect.

They asked the boutique artisan and she said it was not a scratch but a natural mark on the leather (although it clearly was as I could feel it under my finger and the bag had other natural marks, which were very different from this one) so no repair was needed… So, even if that was just a dream come true, I didn’t want to purchase it at this condition (considering also the very high price point)…

After a long and winding journey looking for the perfect box bag, one of the resellers I’m working with have found my dream bag!
A never been used K25 box calf ghw :smile:

Was really on edge thinking whether I should go on a vintage route or not. Asked my SA from H boutique in my country and she said it’s impossible to get one as she has not seen box leather in kelly sent to the boutique in over 5 years.

what do you guys think of the visible vein?

I think it’s beautiful. Box has become my favorite leather. Enjoy

It's gorgeous! My BBK 32 has visible veins as well. I love that.

I love smooth leathers and scratches do not bother me. Given the pandemic I have not had much of an opportunity to use her but I am glad I have her. I personally would take the bag but if you are unsure, I am sure you will be offered another mini Kelly if you are being offered a box leather one now. I plan to mainly use mine as an evening bag, as I think the sheen of box lends itself nicely to nighttime in a small size bag. Good luck with your decision.

do you think the box leather would be less dressy in a Birkin 30 or still more on the dressy side since it has sheen? thx
