Looking at your beautiful B35 reminded me of my SO Box HAC, which I think has some veining too. It has not been used, as I thought it too precious, hence I forgot. I will check it out and share more.

! You lucky girl, Box HACs are my absolute favourites, more than Birkins. I found a pre owned 32 Box HAC recently and I'm over the moon, love it to bits!
I thought those striations were the same striations that you often see in Tadelakt. Not veins but a product of how the dye hits the leather.
For those in or visiting Australia you can pilgrimage to the MAAS for the Joseph Box archives. I believe they are at the Discovery Centre in Castle Hill. No bags though

Beautiful! Where did you manage to find this?
Would you know if the bastia was made in gold box? Reason I ask- I have one that was marked as barenia when I bought it, but both my SA and I were not totally convinced, as it just looked "plumper", felt a bit less dry, and the color was a tad lighter. I just assumed it was Butler and called it a day. When I saw your post, it got me thinking, wonder if its Box?

Only Black and Rouge H in Box for the Bastia and Calvi so far. I agree with your assessment that it looks like Butler.
Thanks so much for a VERY speedy reply! Well, now my hunt is on for a Box in both/either a calvi and bastia ( might as well be greedy!)
