Here's a spa before and after for my Barenia HAC (1999 bag). It wasn't in tragic shape to start with, but it's much more even now, the spots are gone, and the scratches are much more blended in. There was also some corner wear you cannot see here that is now completely fixed. The tone is not as much darker post-spa as it may appear, that's mainly lighting, but it's good to know that in general Barenia WILL come back a bit darker (you can ask for the patina to be deepened, too).
The wonderful Docride also does Barenia work which has been very successful for some tPFers who don't have easy access to spa/don't want to deal with the delays/etc. (Just to clarify per a couple PMs, this bag went to Service Apres-Vente at a boutique in Paris, where I live. Took just under 3 weeks to get a quote, at which point I was quoted seven weeks for service, but it was only another 4 weeks before it came back.)

is this brushed palladium? i love the sheen with the patina'd barenia.

I have this belt in black Barenia and Fauve Barenia and they are my most used belts. I had not realized they came out with it in rouge sellier. Now I have something to hunt for the next time I’m in Paris
I have Etriviere 35 in Fauve (new replacement for my very old, patinaed belt) and passed on the Black. I am sure every store will receive the Rouge Sellier soon. Let's hope it comes in bags too!

I was hoping to get some opinions on a barenia fauve Kelly from the experts in this thread. Looking to purchase this one from MadisonAvenueCouture

I love all heritage leathers and barenia is just my absolute favourite. I know the leather shows wear and will scratch. I don’t mind and I’m totally ok with the condition of the one I linked above. Few questions:
1. Does it look like this bag has already developed patina? Should I expect it to get even darker or uneven in colour? How do I prevent uneven patina?
2. I am totally ok with the scratches at present. Based on the age of the bag (2022) and its current condition is their a possibility that if scratch it more the new scratches won’t blend with the leather?

I’ve seen some bags age beautifully even with scratches (and that’s what I would hope for this bag if i purchased). I don’t baby my bags but will probably use this about once a week.

don't worry too much about scratches and other marks
when you read about them it seems like huge disfigurement
in general marks will smooth out
you will quickly learn to be aware of your fingernails
but understand that no leather is going to be immune to damage from scratching against a protruding object or being scraped along a brick wall

patina will continue to develop, when it has become dark enough for you to notice,
you will be too old to care

the more you use it the better it will become
and the greater will be your pleasure
