My thoughts? It is a very nice piece and it would be very easy to be seduced by it
and make it work.
Nonetheless, without a shoulder strap, I wonder how useful it would be.
The vertical orientation is not the easiest to organise.

It has a shoulder strap sorry it didn’t show on the picture. The vertical orientation is the only thing that concerns me which is why I mentioned the weight.

I should think it would be similar to other Barenia bags of comparable size. Do you have the bag in hand? Compared with Clemence say, I feel barenia is slightly heavier but not in a meaningful way as compared to something like Epsom. So yes, depending on what you’re used to, it will get heavy over the course of a few hours of wandering around. HTH :flowers:

Agree with @WhiteBus, depends on what you put in it. The vertical orientation may be challenging but I think it also may help you style the bag away from a strictly briefcase look. Hard to tell from the pic you shared. I’m not familiar with this style so I didn’t realize there’s a shoulder strap.

I agree with @WhiteBus and @textilegirl. I looked at this one not too long ago, but thought it was too similar to the HAC a Dos I just bought.….plus I’m a phw gal. But, I could see myself using it, although I carry very little so weight isn’t a usually an issue for me (unless it’s Very heavy empty). Maybe you should load it up with what you‘d carry and see how it feels to you….

I have box, Clemence and Sombero. You are right it was slightly heavier, but depending on what I put in it, it was tolerable as I was loading it up and walked around. I would just be careful as to the day and what I needed to use.

Thank you for responding. I’m going to post some more pictures. I use natural sunlight and thanks for your suggestion of being able to stylet away. I think you’re right, maybe some boots jeans and a long jacket or sweater for the winter

Hi, would you be willing to share a picture of your HAC dose. If you didn’t have that one would you have went through with your purchase of this? I loaded it up today and took it for a spin. It actually wasn’t that bad and it didn’t really have so much of a briefcase look, after caring it I agree with you all that it can be used in different ways and I think I would be sorry if I sent it back so I think I’m going to keep it and work with it. It’s such an unusual bag and I really like unusual and it really is in great condition.

I took my pictures here they are. I kind of stopped the first compartment and left the back one a little empty. It has a ton of pockets so I think I could balance the way. I just would need to be careful. It also goes cross body. What are you guys is that with the new picture? I love this forum. It’s always nice to be able to reach out and get opinions. Suggestions and experiences. Love you guys. Thanks so much.

I found this bag randomly when I was on vacation in Hawaii. It was shortly after the new Waikiki store reopened, and it was tucked away in a small display window on one of the upper floors along with other objects that were artistically displayed. I asked a SA if it was barenia and if I could see it, and then I bought it.

So I came upon it purely by chance. I was merely perusing the store out of interest - there were no other bags displayed for sale on this floor, and I had no intentions of purchasing anything until I saw this baby. I was very lucky!
