I have read through this entire thread - multiple times, and have been looking everywhere for a Barenia bag after drooling over all the photos that have been posted here.

Finally found this new-to-me 2013 Kelly 28 Retourne on a reseller platform. I was expecting reasonable scratches given the nature of Barenia, and the fact that this bag has gone through quality checks and multiple international shipping legs.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good condition it is in, with very few visible scratches and a beautiful patina that is starting to develop.

Thanks to everyone in this thread for helping me decide on this beautiful bag. I know it will grow old with me gracefully.

It could also be vert maquis, which was a S/S 20 color.

I have the exact bastia, so I thought I would look at the receipt so I could tell you what the color is. Surprise! The receipt reads " bastia verso barenia/swift fauve/bleu saphir" !! That was June 2019. I had really never looked, because I bought it in store and just loved the color combo. As in many things H, its a mystery....enjoy it regardless. Who cares what they call it?
