What did you get? Do you think the petrol Houston Satchel is too similar to the petrol Gotham from last year? I have the Gotham and not sure I can justify both..
I ordered the mini Houston, card case, and wallet. I'm afraid the mini Houston will be too small for me though, but I really wanted to see it in person. My boutique is 2 hrs away and I'm on bedrest so online is my only option. If it's too small I will get the regular size.
I also bought the new black/silver petrol Gotham about 2 weeks ago and love it. I don't think the Houston and Gotham look too similar shape wise but since you would have them both in the exact same petrol finish it might be a bit much. I think it all depends on how much you love the petrol really and how often you would use them.
Good point! I'll visit HB in person with my petrol Gotham to check out what new petrol items I should get.. I ordered the RM iridescent Elle in the meantime since it's so different

I ordered the same RM! It will be here tomorrow, it's pretty small but adorable. I think I will use it more for spring/summer and the henri bendel items for fall/winter. I took my black petrol Gotham out today for a midwife appointment and got poured on. Rain didn't hurt it one bit! I'm allowed out of bed once a week for appts and to run errands, of course my day out had to be rainy and cold. At least I had a pretty bag to keep me company lol

Thanks for your post. If my RM is the same way I will probably return too, I can't have a bag that peels immediately. My HB petrol Gotham is practically indestructible.
Speaking of HB, I stopped by the store to check out the new petrol stuff and there's so much more that's not online. I picked up the zip around continental wallet that I didn't know was made, and ordered a passport and luggage tag. The zip opening of both Houston satchels were too small and hard to get into. I prefer the wide zipper and outside pockets of my Gotham, so the Houston was an easy pass for me.
Hopefully your RM will be in better shape, maybe I just got the "bad" one. HB mini Houston, card case, and trifold wallet came today and all 3 are already packed up to ship back. The mini Houston was even smaller than I thought and like you said, near impossible to get into. The card case was really hard to fit a few loyalty cards into, and the trifold wallet was super noisy lol. Folding and unfolding it made a really annoying squeeky noise. I wish the continental wallet was online, I would much prefer that I think. There is just no way I will be able to get to my boutique to look in person though. I might try ordering the full size Houston though if they ever offer 30% off like they did last year around Thanksgiving. For now I'm content with the black/grey petrol Gotham.
So unfortunate about the quality although it's very pretty. I have a feeling this is not the same quality as the earlier batch of iridescent bags that were priced about $400-$500 since they are selling for so much cheaper.
Yeah, I was pretty surprised to see peeling on a factory wrapped bag. I only have 2 other RM items but they still look perfect after a lot of use.
