My H angel, FashionistaO, just called to say she got me an omnimatou (sp?) in rouge H!!! What a sweet H angel she is! I am so excited.

Congratus lulilu. I know how long you have wanted one!!! And FashionistaO - You really are a H angel.

(now at the risk of being flamed - can someone explain to me the difference between cutting into line and hoarding/swooping & scooping scarves? Personally, I find both equally disturbing). But JMO :smile1:

How fabulous - I wish I had known those were at the sale. I am planning a trip to Europe this Christmas and wanted to have one to keep my passport in. Seems that one really must go to the sales in person - there is so much wonderful stuff!!:graucho:

thanks FashionistaO! called a friend a she was able to get me a silkypop, I am so excited! I would have not known except for your combined reveals! thanks a LOT! :yahoo:

provcoll .. :yes:many silky pops .. about 8-10 designs .. not well-versed in the names.

didn't see Ulysses agendas .. but had book covers/agenda covers

.. bought a GM/togo and will convert it into a jewelry rest for my travel .. then just roll it up and secure it w/ a Hapi 3M .. figuring out to make a custom removable mini quilt w/ storage pockets for this brainstorm idea .. lol

.. it's 3am where I am .. must be the x #'s of expressos consumed today^

Ladypenelope, thank you for the detailed post, it was perfect! I love to hear all those details and combined with the blog pictures of Mizhattan I felt I was there!

as for pregnant women, I thought it was common courtesy to let them go to the front of the line, at least this is what they do at the movies in my part of Alaska :graucho:

Hi again everyone,

I couldn't post yesterday as I had a busy day at work but wanted to thank you all for your kind comments on my super long report. I was worried I might bore everyone to death with the minutiae.

LGA82, I didn't realise the Silky Pops were just $45, can it be??

Seeing some of the other reveals from the sale makes me think I got out of there way too soon! I adore everything that NanamiRyu found (http://forum.purseblog.com/hermes/the-sales-and-h-forum-broke-me-572550.html), all those little animal leather goods, the coin purses, the bookmarks, but above all the lime Clemence... Swoon!

As for enforcing line rules, ladies, when I go next time, I'm going to get everyone's cooperation by specifically asking every single person ahead of me to watch for cutters and informing them that they can't hold a spot for anyone else. People are far too meek about this!

Restricter is right that the pregnant girl was thoroughly humiliated, and I think it's punishment enough, but all of those others who didn't get caught are going to do it again and again. We all need to put our foot down.

Okay, rant over. ;-)

The pregnant woman special treatment question intrigues me. I'm happy to give up my seat on the bus or subway for a pregnant lady because she typically has to go to work, but I don't think it applies to Hermes sample sales. Everyone chooses to go to the sale, I think if you are not up to it you should stay home. (Does that make me mean?)

I was on line with three pregnant ladies to pay. The first waited the whole time. The second complained and they let her and a lady who appeared to be her Mom go to the front of the line. I didn't understand why her Mom couldn't wait on line and buy her things for her and let her rest if she was not feeling well. The third pregnant lady they also let go to the front of the line because they had to since they had just let the second lady go to the front. There were tons of elderly ladies and gentlemen at the sale and none of them asked for special treatment. I find New Yorkers to be exceptionally courteous, despite stereotypes, but sample sales are typically for the hardcore.

Here's the loot from my second excursion, yesterday. A few more scarves, an Evelyne scarf ring, a Neon prune H cadena, and
a bottle of Elixir de Merveilles (which I've decided I don't really like). The red is lily's Silky Pop - didn't want to open
her up - she's the fuchsia, same as hermesmonkey's.

LGA82, we are scarf twins! I have the pink Tout en quilt also! Congrats on your purchases!

The line was bearable though the dip in the weather was not .. @ 3pm, there were under 70 ppl in line and to the line to pay took about 40 min.

We waited in line, but the security motioned us to follow him .. breaking a sweat here, I thought I was in trouble.
'I know I didn't cut any line' this was all I can think about .. so we followed him.
As it turned out, he recognized me from Thurs and told us we can just go straight up and do not have to wait.
Security was speaking 'will inform ****** to expect us' but I just wasn't able to comprehend .. lol
.. I was soooo surprised and delighted, but embarassed at the same time.

There was a small incident as we checked our belongings .. individuals near the bags and SLG were spotted shoplifting..

.. dunno what happened to them.

Stock was low in the footwear, especially the silks.
Added stock in the belts only, noticed many Evelyn belts in v good condition
Layout was slightly re-arranged ..

Was told employee sale is first thing tomorrow w/ stock being brought in specifically for them.
What ever is left will be available for the public.

Wish you guys luck for Sunday!
