Thanks oonagh, I thought I was the only one... Having been pregnant twice in the last 4 yrs, I maybe have gained a bit of empathy...

I have been on line pregnant and not pregnant, and would not bat an eyelash if a pregnant woman joined a friend on line...

There are bigger fish to fry in this world...

And those silky pops! Sounds like there's enough to go around for everyone!

Today at about 10.30 there was no line at all outside, just 5min wait inside for the elevator to go up.
Plenty of things to choose from, but no cashmere except blankets.
However, when I left about noon, there was a line building up outside maybe 100 people?

You were at the sale, oh, you are my hero ;) Hope you had fun and found some treasures :hugs:

^^^Dear baggiegirl :hugs:, I didn't buy anything, I'm such a bore :D, I had a lot of fun looking though.
I was hunting for leathergloves and there were some, but not what I had in mind. Also a beautiful purple cashmere blanket was catching my eye, but my suitcase is already full :smile1:

So, waiting in line to pay at the sale, this one lady was still trying to decide between different scarves and going back and forth on which ones she liked best. She started the line with maybe five scarves and kept an ongoing dialogue with the people next to her, trying to get independent advice on what looked best on her, and as she waited she eliminated the scarves one by one. Finally she was down to two, and she asked me what I thought. I like to tease people so I said "Well, ask yourself, 'Do I really need this?" At that point everyone piped up, "Noooo, that's the one question you don't wanna ask yourself waiting in line at the Hermes sale!" We all had such a chuckle!

I love this post of yours, Lady-Penelope! LOL

Personally, I would cut the pregnant ladies a bit of slack. Its just a sale.

LOL, I Would be okay with a pregnant person returning to her place in line assuming I saw her before. But if she were nice about it, I probably wouldn;t say anything even if I had not seen her before - because - (AND this sounds evil of me), I know I could outrun her (and most other people) to any bag I wanted. :p

Hermes Monkey, Olive, have fun. I was hoping against futile hope that I could sneak out today Sunday (a few friends asked me to look for some things), but DH (who is starting a second business) asked if I wouldn;t mind proofing a draft of a manual for his company and giving detailed feedback (Am good at editing). I was like, sure, how long is the manual and do you need it done today? Answer hundreds of pages; therefore was not good for my plans for last day of sample sale. Darn it.

And Hermes Monkey has flamed my curiosity about Hermes RTW. (I am actually a big big fan of designer RTW but I like my older stuff that I bought pre- globalization, pre euro - Chanel, Dolce, YSL, Carolina H -- when things were a lot cheaper and the design houses were JMO less predictable. HM I hope so badly the next time I see you, you will tell me you got that gorgeous astrologie surteint blouse. I can see that blouse at a cocktail party, on white or dark jeans; or as a pool wrap. And the color was incredible with your skin and haircolor. (I know it sounds like I am obsessed - apologies); it was just sheer perfection.

And Olive, I can see you with the ebene plume - the larger one; or one of those tote bags Lady Penelope was talking about with the outside zippered compartment; and a wallet. And some orans.

Fashionista O, I cannot tell you HOW MUCH I wanted to go with you last week. I was stuck at home working and not even able to log onto this thread. :(

Gina123, you have to go to the one next year - Robee, TT, D, palom, all of you. I'll treat to mini sandwiches at Nespresso cafe afterwards. hugs

Boo, IL, Lulilu, GGA I am so sorry not to have been able to go back. hugs
