Oh, nice haul, cayenne-pepper! I don't remember seeing those fragrances at all, and if I'd seen Mousson I'd have snapped it up. I only saw Sur la Nil.

(If any kind person is going back to the sale this weekend and wouldn't mind looking out for a couple of things for me, please PM me! I would be very grateful. I can't make it back into town, unfortunately.)

Thanks lily I know you'll be happy with your silkypop too. Its so cute how it all folds and zip into that lil' thing :D

capulet Thank You, isn't it great how innovative Hermes gets with their designs

I went back to the sale today around 3:30/4pm. There was a very small line. We waited about 10 minutes for the elevator and went upstairs. There were still some enamels, nothing earth shattering though. The only bags left were the same plumes in suede and a handful of the larger plumes in white/orange and a brown one. They had some kelly en caleche fragrance packages this time, but I'm still trying to get through the ones I bought from the last sale. Still quite a lot of the charms were left, fruits and elephants. Lots of towels left. The tie selection was not as nice as the private day sale though. Scarves were still very nice with a good selection. Shoes were about 2/3 less, but still a decent selection in most sizes. I was hoping to score a shawl for a friend, but no such luck. They didn't have any cashmere/silk combo scarves at all. There were a few mousselines, still some twillies and a good selection of 70cm scarves.

I did pick up a silky pop. Fuschia marwari w/ rouge garrance togo case. I saw these before, but didn't really need it. Apparently after a few days, I need one now. LOL I have NO idea what I will do with this little lovely, but I'm sure I will figure something out. I think they were the best value for money item at the sale, other than the super discounts I found on the private day with the bolides and constances.

I did ask if they were getting more items in and they did say yes. Nobody there really knows what is coming out. So for those of you gearing up for this weekend, let us know what they have!

I love this thread. Congratulations to everyone who was able to go and score some great goodies. If I'm able to save up funds I might have to go for the fall sale as a extra special bday gift to me.

Lady-Penelope I love that you had the guts to actually do something about the cutting (very kick-ass in my opinion), I would have just stood there speaking very loudly at how I hate that some people have the nerve to go and nap and come back expecting their same place in line. I mean if you went to go to the bathroom, get water and food, or even was meeting up a friend there and was running late due to unforeseeable circumstances (say a bunch of angry monkeys were released into the streets and all chasing you) then I might be able to understand that. But to go home and nap and then come back? Pregnant or not, I would just bring a sleeping bag and a pillow with me and take that to coat check.

Alas, time to dream of the next sale and hope to be able to go.

^^ Darn, now I know where all the nice charms that weren' there at the BH sale went to. If there's anyone going to the sale who'd not mind picking up a charm or two for me, please PM me. Thanks!

Seems you ladies have lots of fun in NY sale. I am trying to catch the thread here. The BH Sale is nothing comparing to this one. And same feeling as matt-g, I only saw red bull, tiger, pear in BH sale. All those lovely bears and elephants, and pink piggy went to NY!!!
And those bags!!!!!!! Oh my! :girlwhack: Maybe I should plan a trip for it!

I am too, cayenne. LGA is so wonderful to brave the sale for a second time to get it for me.

Congratulations on your lovely finds too!

Lily, I'm not so wonderful - I got you the Silky POP (just like hermesmonkey's above), but there was a little mix-up with the Silky POM. I picked the one we talked about from the table and took it to one of the sales people to ask the price. He didn't know, and took it to the checkout area to find out, which took him about ten minutes. When I went back, I asked him how much, and he told me $45.00. I said OK, and assumed he put it in the bag I already had set aside with your bag and my little things. Turns out, he didn't, as I discovered on my way home in a cab. So sorry - I should have checked!! Mea culpa!:shame:

I guess everyone will have to take back their accolades - but it would have been worse if I'd messed up on the bag, right?? I meant well, really I did!:shucks::nuts:
