I am not understanding the hate here, especially since we are in the MK forum. NutsAboutCoach is right.

Perhaps it is the people I read about on here all the time who order 3+ bags at a time, keep them for months on end and then return them all to start the whole process over are the problem hmmmm... sure I will get slammed for that opinion but so be it.

There are those who hate MK but love to come to the MK forum & post their dislike. I don't understand it, myself. I say buy & carry what you like & can afford. Not everyone can afford a handbag that cost thousands of dollars with a fancy designer name. If you don't like MK bags or any other item he has, don't buy it, but don't trash someone else & make them feel bad because they do like what he offers. He may not be high designer luxury to some, but he is high designer to others.

I suspect that this thread originated in the "handbag & purses" forum but because of the title it was moved here. The OP and the first few posters don't really visit this forum......

You're probably right. However, there are some members who only come to the MK forum to post about how crappy his merchandise is & how he's the only designer who copies other designers. They don't buy any of his products but they love to come here & complain about them. SMH

Not true at all. I own plenty of MK bags and none of them are "junk."

ALL brands copy designs; even "luxury."

Really? I have bought a few outlet bags from MK and the quality is quite good. On par with any other outlet... Kate Spade, Coach, Tory Burch, etc. I don't like the return policy, but the bags are fine.

I have 2 Susannahs in lambskin. The lambskin from the outlet feels stiff and hard; the lambskin on the Susannahs is soft and buttery.

An article from the NYP published today suggests that if Nordstrom and MK continue their relationship, we are likely to see more exclusive products sold at Nordstrom to allow the department store to avoid price-cut competition with Macy's.

This might be a good the brand. I am keeping an eye on this story!

I personally think the quality of the outlet bags are just as good. Some of the styles are a little different than what you'd see in the stores & boutiques. But to each his own, don't judge people for what they like carry, its a free country. These Hamilton's all look and feel very well made. Again, people buy what they like & can afford.
The 2 saffiano leather with logo locks were purchased from the MK Store & Belk dept store. The 2 pebbled leather with plaque labels were purchased at the MK Outlet & TJ Maxx. But I love them all the same.

Oh, love the colors!

Isn't that the way it should be? exclusives through department stores. Restructuring sounds more practical vs we are taking our ball and going home, MK hasn't gone out of business and seems the complaints as many of us have previously stated apply to many brands, i think the handbag market in general seems a bit unstable, many are struggling to maintain and find a place in a world where people generally tire of things quickly and are opting spend monies on other things.

I disagree. I have not had any issues of quality from any of his bags or clothes that I own. I do not own or wear any of his watches or jewelry, but I don't own or wear any so-called designer watches or jewelry. I prefer to wear fine jewelry/watches that are not branded but are made of 14 or 18K with genuine fine gemstones. I also prefer to invest in a fine time piece that will last & become an heirloom as opposed to a watch that cost $2-300.

Actually, all the so-called designers copy each other. That's no big secret. His inspired bags give those the opportunity to carry a style bag that they would not be able to own & carry otherwise.

Thanks for being so on-point! We need a 'like' button!

When I purchased a canvas flat wristlet with the 2 zippers at the outlet I had to return it because of a faulty zipper. I replaced it will a black leather one but the stitching was coming out inside so I went back a 3rd time and the girl opened 5 to find one that didn't have some problem. The price had gone down so she gave me $25 on a gift card. I'm very reluctant to get anything more than a make up bag. I just don't trust the quality. I do really like the styles though. I've bought many MK clothing items at Macy's and they're all pretty decent.

That's frustrating but it happens with loads of brands, some items just aren't that great, while others are.

All i can say is the MK i do own, i have had no issues with and i used them quite a bit & often before my nerves went wonky and i can no longer carry the styles.

It can be frustrating but this happens at one time or another in all the brands. Some designs are better than others. There have been quality issues with some Coach, Prada, LV, Marc Jacobs, Gucci & others but I don't go to those forums & post about how crappy the brand is like some who seem to enjoy coming on here to complain. I don't understand it since these people don't buy or carry MK in the first place.

What I can say is that I have not had any issues with any of my MK purses or clothes. I have many of his MMK line & a few of his higher end Collection Line. For the most part, I carry my MMK bags for everyday. I don't worry about babying them either. Since I have several, I will carry one for about a week & change into another bag for the next week, unless I'm wearing a certain outfit that I need to coordinate a style or color. When not in use, the bags are stuffed, in their dust bags, & placed on a shelf with the handles up.
I haven't had any problems with the clothes I own either. I have found them to be well made & quite comfortable to wear.

I have a couple of Prada & a couple of Fendi bags....haven't had a problem with them either.

Sometimes, a bag just doesn't work out; it happens. But if your experience has made you leery, that's understandable. Buy what you love & are comfortable with.

I was one of the first few posters and as someone said, this thread was not in the MK forum when I posted. Personally, I wouldn't visit a brand forum and then trash the line so please know that was NOT what I did.

As for my opinion his stuff is "crap"; in my opinion it is. The few items I have purchased or were gifted did not wear well. I don't care if it's costs $10 or $1000; if it doesn't hold up to how I use something, it's a waste of my money and junk. Again, MY opinion, nothing else.

To those who love the brand, great and rock it with pride! That's all that matters in the end : )
