:goodpost: And god forbid you actually buy what you like these days. It's really sad to see people judging others' personal tastes and opinions, claiming that those who love Brand X are sheeple, desperate, label whores, etc., when in fact those who mindlessly judge are the ones who are falling into the think-trap. Don't like the brand? Don't buy. Simple as that.

+1 So well said!

+1 I agree completely. Well said.

Could the article findings can also be suggesting that customer can be fickle with what they want. People love to part of what in trend, what popular, what famous people sporting what.

I am sorry, I can't bring myself to buy a bag from his outlets. They look like counterfeit bags. Also, I know I can pay about the same price for one of his better-looking bags at Macy's.
I love my MK outlet bag! I've had boutique MK bags too. My outlet MK bag is one of my favorite bags. It's wonderful quality (suede) and I love the design and all the pockets. I have a ton of Coach too, at all levels including Pinnacle. Most are quality items, but I have had to return a few for construction issues, like edge coating where it shouldn't be. I've also returned Coach outlet bags due to poor quality of the leather. A few years ago, Coach released and sold some bags with an upside down logo, which speaks to their quality control, or lack thereof.

I prefer to buy bags at department stores if I can because of the great return policies. When I bought a MK at the boutique on sale, they wouldn't let me exchange it the next day for a different color.

I've seen similar articles about Coach and they're still around. There's always good and bad about every brand. People will buy what they like and can afford. I've never understood the attitude of looking down your nose at someone else about what bag they buy.

I am not understanding the hate here, especially since we are in the MK forum. NutsAboutCoach is right.

Perhaps it is the people I read about on here all the time who order 3+ bags at a time, keep them for months on end and then return them all to start the whole process over are the problem hmmmm... sure I will get slammed for that opinion but so be it.

I also wonder about those who've purchased several bags just to resell on eBay only to return them when they haven't sold.

I've never experienced poor quality in MK bags. Just an abundance of the signature bags. And if it were not for this site, I wouldn't have noticed how much of his products are nearly exact replicas of higher end bags.

And, sadly, I'm fickle. I purchased three Suttons last week from TJ Maxx. I love everything about them... except the handles. I keep hoping they will magically extend about 3 more inches. I've been known to walk out of a store having purchased several bags at once. I rarely return any... mostly because I'm too lazy.

Not surprised as everything he makes is junk. My local Nordstrom has very little jewelry and leather goods to be found. IF I want something, I order it online because..... there's nothing there.
Not true at all. I own plenty of MK bags and none of them are "junk."

More stores should consider this move. Nearly all of the MK bags are copied designs from luxury brands.
ALL brands copy designs; even "luxury."

Really? I have bought a few outlet bags from MK and the quality is quite good. On par with any other outlet... Kate Spade, Coach, Tory Burch, etc. I don't like the return policy, but the bags are fine.

You go, girl. Anyone who derives self-worth from a handbag has deeper issues to address than what others may carry.

I personally think the quality of the outlet bags are just as good. Some of the styles are a little different than what you'd see in the stores & boutiques. But to each his own, don't judge people for what they like carry, its a free country. These Hamilton's all look and feel very well made. Again, people buy what they like & can afford.
The 2 saffiano leather with logo locks were purchased from the MK Store & Belk dept store. The 2 pebbled leather with plaque labels were purchased at the MK Outlet & TJ Maxx. But I love them all the same.

There are those who hate MK but love to come to the MK forum & post their dislike. I don't understand it, myself. I say buy & carry what you like & can afford. Not everyone can afford a handbag that cost thousands of dollars with a fancy designer name. If you don't like MK bags or any other item he has, don't buy it, but don't trash someone else & make them feel bad because they do like what he offers. He may not be high designer luxury to some, but he is high designer to others.

I disagree. I have not had any issues of quality from any of his bags or clothes that I own. I do not own or wear any of his watches or jewelry, but I don't own or wear any so-called designer watches or jewelry. I prefer to wear fine jewelry/watches that are not branded but are made of 14 or 18K with genuine fine gemstones. I also prefer to invest in a fine time piece that will last & become an heirloom as opposed to a watch that cost $2-300.

More stores should consider this move. Nearly all of the MK bags are copied designs from luxury brands.

Actually, all the so-called designers copy each other. That's no big secret. His inspired bags give those the opportunity to carry a style bag that they would not be able to own & carry otherwise.
