Nordstrom Returns Delayed Recently?

Guys I have a question regarding how to get a price adjustment. I ordered a pair of shoes in late April and received them later than expected, which I did not mind, because it is not like I have anywhere to go right now (lol). The shoes were big on me and I wanted to get a size smaller. It so happened when I was browsing that my smaller size was in stock and immediately placed an order of the same shoe. I received the order today and the shoes look visually used on the bottom. I have never experienced this before from Nordstrom. I want to keep the shoes because I like them so much but I have never got used shoes from them before. And here is the thing, the smaller size shoes cost 17 dollars more the bigger size.I am definitely returning the first order as the size is too big. I tried to call the Nordstrom help line, wait time was 60 mins. What should I do?
I would try calling when you have time to put your phone on speaker and then you can do other stuff until the customer service representative comes on the line. I have done this twice on separate days for the same issue. The first day the rep was not particularly helpful. The representative I spoke with two days later was very helpful. Under the circumstances if you explain what has happened I think they will might at least give you $17 back.

I am not sure if they will do anything beyond that. I think that they may want to see that you have returned or started a return on the first pair of shoes also. I think it would be good to call so there is something documented in your file before too much time passes.

Dropped off two packages May 1st to post office. One tracking shows picked up by shipping agent May 2nd and other as May 4th. Just received one email yesterday saying they processed one return. Still waiting on the other return to be processed.

Strict price adjustment policy of two weeks within order date.

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I finally got someone on chat, while I waiting I was writing Nordstrom an email about my issue just in case I couldn't get anyone. Anyways I got credited my money back. It was easy peasy. So I suggest if you have issues with your order do chat, especially at night, you might connect with someone. Or send an email.

At this point I am my own worst enemy. I am definitely engaging in retail therapy. I stated in a previous post that I was going to stop shopping online at Nordstrom or the Rack until things seemed more organized. I have done neither.

My most recent Nordstrom order arrived quickly and since I like both items this is easy.

I will post my NR experience on that thread to try to stay on topic.

I must say, depending where you’re returning it goes quicker. Packages i sent from NYC took a good 3-4 weeks to be returned, but i sent a few from Massachusetts and week or two and they’re back. That or they’re slowing down with the crazy

It takes about three weeks for me with Nordstrom. Can’t complain, imo. The stuff travels from LI to somewhere in Ohio.
It is totally fair imo.
Those warehouse workers are to be commanded for indulging all of us in retail therapy, imo.
Thank you so much.:flowers:
