Nordstrom Returns Delayed Recently?

I grabbed a few t-shirts on sale and decided to return one. I was expecting it would take a long time to return by mail. But they processed it fairly quickly about a week. It hasn't posted to my CC yet but I got the return confirmation email quickly and it was only $15 so it doesn't really matter if it takes a few more days to post to my CC. In general I find that most CC refunds tend to delay the credit.

I feel like a lot of people cleaned out their closets and returned things to Nordstrom that they had sitting around for a good while. I’m seeing a lot of older merchandise on sale on the website with limited quantities. Maybe people re-evaluated lifestyle during the pandemic. Maybe they needed to find ways to get money for necessities. Or maybe Nordstrom just found old stock.

I was wondering about this too.

I ordered a Givenchy wallet from Nordstrom. I received the order today and was disappointed again with Nordstroms online. The wallet came in shrink wrapped plastic with no Givenchy box, dust bag, care instructions or tag. There was a Nordstrom in store generated tag tucked into one of the pockets. This wallet was clearly a return and they didn’t bother ensuring the item came with the correct packaging. I won’t ever order designer items online to be shipped from Nordstroms again. If I want to purchase a designer Item I’ll do it in store. About a year ago I ordered for store pick up a pair of Saint Laurent espadrilles. Thankfully I opened the box in front of a Nordstrom employee because what was in the box was a pair of Nordstrom brand $50 shoes instead of the Saint Laurent espadrilles. I tried again with this last order but lesson learned.

None of the packages I sent in June (early, mid-, and late) have arrived. I was just told that I would not be refunded because the returns processing center never received them. I’m pretty distressed about it, given the value at stake, and the fact that I haven’t had this issue with any of my other returns. Since the returns were all mailed (from NYC) alongside those from Nordstrom, I think something is severely amiss at their end. I’m

I returned two packages in June. One was received and I got a refund. The tracking on the other one just shows it was accepted at the PO and says "in transit." I am hoping to see it arrive.

All of mine were picked up from USPS by the agent within a few days, but I can’t see beyond that if they arrived at the returns center.

I don’t know, though USPS is the middle person here. I’m reluctant to take this matter up with my CC because I love Nordstrom otherwise (and to an outsider, it seems unbelievable that none of my packages would have been processed), but I’m starting to worry that that may be my only option. At least I saved the tracking stubs!

If you have the tracking stubs you can look to see if it was received by the returns agent. Most of my packages were received by the returns agent within a day or two. But it took anywhere from 1-4 weeks for them to actually be processed by Nordstrom returns. If you made the purchase in store rather than online, it will also take longer, because (I was told) it has to be sent on to another department.

So I would give your older packages at least another week to be processed.

I mailed a return on May 29th that was picked up by the shipping agent on June 1st. After about 3 weeks it still showed as “in transit”. I called Nordstrom CS and the representative stated that around that time they changed shipping agents and she refunded my account. It was not a very expensive item though.

Just a few days ago I received the standard email that my item had been received and that my account would be credited within a few days even though I have already received my credit.

If I check my USPS tracking number it still shows as being in transit. So unfortunately their system seems to be in disarray at the present. I have gotten different responses from customer service reps on a previous return, so I would also recommend calling back at some point as another representative might be willing to look at your returns a little more closely to see if your account can be credited.

I am having the same problem. I have two returns that I dropped off at my post office 3 weeks ago and I got a receipt. It was then picked up by newgistics smart label on July 1 and no update since then. I called Nordstrom Cs and spoke to a manager. She said I have to wait up to 72 hours for them to look into this!!! One item was $458 and the second return was $350. They better refund me!!! It's not my fault if they lost my returns!!

My Nordstrom USPS returns take 15 days (including weekends) now. Previously, they took about 15-20 days during May/June. Other retailers who use the USPS to UPS Innovations Returns are still taking longer. I was even cheeky and put multiple returns in one package once to cut back on cardboard boxes being picked up by my post office worker (they don't need the extra juggle).

Is that allowed? I thought if you combine returns like that their system might not refund both orders?
