Nordstrom Return Policy Thread!!

I bought a MBMJ classic q natasha bag in March and only used it roughly for only ~2 months but the color on the leather is already starting to rub off in places such as where the strap is connected to bag and you can kind of see the hardware connecting the strap and the bag beneath the flap thing on the side. I don't know if I'm nitpicking because this is the first bag I bought for myself. I treat it like a baby and don't know how I could cause those kind of damage (I understand color transfer and dirt but I have none of that). It looks practically brand new except in small places where the red color is rubbing off but I don't like that idea that I spent so much money on a bag for this subpar quality. I took the tags off (but I can probably find it), but I do have the confirmation of my order through email. Could I return it or should I just try to paint it over with a sharpie (lol..not really)?

Everything I have ever heard from Nordstrom is they will take anything back no questions asked. I have yet to return anything, but it makes me more apt to purchase from them. I bought a pair of VC signature shoes, not too pricey $300, but after one wear the leather stared losing color. They were extremely professional and proactive in fixing the problem.

If the quality isn't good after just 2 months of use, that is not acceptable for a bag of that price. Bring it back. They stand behind everything they sell. It's what makes nordstrom such a great company and why They have so many loyal customers.

i read this article about Nordstrom and just wanted to confirm whether it's true before I make a big purchase.

It's generally true. Although last year I was at the counter when a women was trying to return a men's shirt that, IMO, would have never ever come from Nordstrom. They didn't return that. The do generally require their little sticker and or proof of purchase or they have to carry it.

Will Nordstrom allow a return for something paid with cash and no receipt? I know if something is paid with a credit card, they can look up the transaction. Can a cash transaction be looked up ?
I dunno....kinda doubt that, but if anyone would take it back, it would be Nords! Great customer service.

BUT...in this day and age they'd probably have a record of you/someone paying cash for it in their computer system?

Does anyone know about their policy for returning cosmetic items ordered online?

I'm thinking about ordering a tinted moisturizer but don't want to get stuck with it if the color isn't right and/or doesn't feel right.

I either have:
order #
receipt
the credit card I purchased with

I think they still take back items without either of these, it's just that you may need to provide your DL.

I don't think returning items once in a while would count against you if you're a regular customer, especially if your item was ordered online.
