That is not true either. Items with the sale sticker on it doesnt mean it was sold employees put those stickers on by accident.
As a Nordstrom employee, stickers are NEVER put on by accident. We guard the stickers and keep them behind the counter, partially hidden from view. They must be scanned with the UPC and coordinate with the sales receipt. Every sticker is accounted for, too.

Nordie Girl, nice of you to offer your input as this topic (returns) has always been quite heated, especially in the case of Nordies where they seem to be very liberal. As you can see, in this thread, quite a few folks believe that liberal returns are acceptable because Nordie's allows it....so it must be OK. Maybe you can tell us....will Nordies tighten up their policies at all as the numbers look bleaker, and do they understand that there is gross abuse of their policies?

Wow, I didn't realize just how lax Nordstrom is with their return policy. So theoretically, someone could purchase something at say, Saks, and return it at Nordstrom just by saying it was a gift they didn't like?? That's a bit crazy, and rude really. Are all Nordstrom sales associates paid by commision (besides when you don't make minimum)? That makes me feel better about always going to my favorite sales associate to buy things.

Theoretically, yes, you could do something like that. The return policy kind of varies by stores/managers and some stores are a little more lax than others, but there are people who do things like that. I think it's really a shame that there are people out there taking advantage of the system. As for pay, I always had the understanding it was hourly and a small commission...looks like there may be other stores or departments that are handled differently as a few posters have been quick to point out.

I purchased Christian Louboutins at Nordstrom after trying on the right shoe. I was in a bit of a hurry so I didnt bother to check out the other shoe. When I got home, I realized these ended up being the display pair with a scuff mark on the toebox area and scratches on the soles, didn't come with a dust bag, or heel replacements! I called Nordstrom and they said they no longer carry this style! I buy all my shoes here and paid an extra $30 for this shoe (it's cheaper at NM). I want to stay loyal to Nordstrom and also love these shoes ! I would appreciate it if you ladies would give me advice!

How long ago did you get them? If recently and you found the "issues" upon receipt, just return them if you aren't happy.
