if i have a coupon for a site - like revolve or something - would they honor that too for an item that is listed as same price but would be cheaper after promotional code adjustment?

how does this work? for ex, can i show them a pair of jeans on sale at revolve and have them price match? do they price match discount codes? like if i used that 30% revolve coupon, will they match?

Turns out the buying office is getting slammed with requests due to all of the online bargains. The SA is supposed to contact the buying office to get the ok for each type of sale..handbags vs..other so they know and can stay competitive as well. My SA said that in the contract with some of the vendors like Marc they have an agreement that all pricing for sales is system wide between all dept and official outlets..we will see what comes back. mm

I agree with Muzmars. I asked my friend about this who used to work for Nordstrom's Brass Plum Shoes and she confirmed it's the Buyer's call to do the pricematching. I'm currently waiting for Nordie's to pricematch a bag I bought from them that can be had at NM for 50% off. They told me I can only do PM if the competing store is withing their vicinity. So right now they are trying to find out if I can do the matching at a Nordies in my are that has a Neimans as well. Pretty confusing, huh?

But what if you want them to price match a store, like Macy's. Macy's has the Michael Kors Raceway pumps on sale for $58, but on the Nordie's website they are $85. So, do I just call them and say Macy's has the pumps on sale for $58 and ask if they will match the price?

I'm not sure if the website will match. They should because their website says so. I'm just not sure how you can provide them proof of the lower price unless you actually buy the shoes from Macy's and show Nordies your receipt. I think it's worth a try.

Other input is appreciated.

^ If it's on sale online, all you need is to print out the ad and show them instore, or fax if possible. I don't think online Nordstrom pricematches, unless you can fax? I've printed out ads from Bloomies and shown them to my SA for pricematching before.

I went to Nordstrom yesterday and tried on a pair of Seven's that I fell in love with  However, I'm short on cash unless I really fenagle (spelling, anyone?) with the finances. Lo and behold, I just saw that the jeans are on sale at E-Lux! They don't have my size, but I was thinking that maybe Nordstrom, with their great customer service, would do a price match? I heard about people doing this with Chloe bags when the Aloha Rag sale was going on.

Anyone have any experience doing something similar? Do you guys think it's worth a shot? :graucho:

Thanks!
