^^I have to say it again, don't talk to department managers, ask for the Store Manager.

They gave you a crap load talking about the buyers, you're right, the buyers don't set the sale prices, that's a corporate issue.

Since she was so new, she didn’t know what she was doing, so another person stepped in. She made no big deal about it at all, and said she does it all the time. Since it was an order yet to be processed it wasn’t in the system, so she said I had to call back and do it over the phone later. She gave me her business card though. I wasted so much of my lunch hour dealing with this!

I see it happen online all the time where regular sized items are marked down 40%, but petites is only marked down 25%, and vice versa. I thought that online chat usually honors the lower price.

I was really annoyed that they wouldn't even price match within the same store for the exact same item but a different size! A different buyer? I don't think the regional buyer would set the sale price given that it's the same sale price online. Has anyone else had this problem before?

You could have had petites locate/order it for you, or just ask for the store manager while in the dept you are having the issue in.

About two months ago I bought a pair of Frye Veronica slouch boots from Nordstrom and a week later Macy's had their big shoe sale and had the same boots same color for 30% off. I went into a Nordstroms store and asked if they could price match the yet-unworn boots I had bought from them a week earlier, and was denied...pretty rudely I might add. Usually I would have come back another time and asked someone else, but I was upset at the bad customer service I had received. Needless to say, the boots were returned to Nordstrom at full price ($300+) and off to Macy's I went! This was my first experience price matching with Nordstrom, I'm sure that the sale associate just did not know what she was talking about.

I tried to PM with Nordstrom on a Clarisonic Mia that was on sale on another website. I called the CS number and the live chat and bought CSRs told me that I couldn't PM with the other website because they didn't have a physical store. Only an online business. I had never heard that before. This was before I had a regular SA that I now deal with and she's amazing with price matching. She'll always honor it as long as it's a legit company.

I got my Nordstrom SA to price match Bloomingdales on some Hunter boots and they came out to be only $75 for each pair. This was even for the black ones. I ended up getting the black glossy and black regular. I thought that was a great deal. Of course I will only keep one pair and return the other.

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask my question, but Nordstrom is currently selling this Alexander McQueen scarf at full price for $395, while on the US McQueen site it is on sale for $239. I don't live in the States so if I were to place the order through Nordies online, do you think they will price match it if I call CS?
