Were the items y'all PMed still available at that price when you pricematched? I LiveChatted someone from Nordstrom and they told me since the items were no longer on sale then they couldn't PM them. Of course, it may be different in stores has the chat woman had to call a manager and ask.

No, but they were in store so they price matched it anyway. If One associate says no, just try another one. And that was over chat.
a product that is still on someone's website but sold out? They've priced match an item where they didn't even have my size and a different color but I've heard they've tightened up their price matching now.
I tried to get them to price match a pair of shoes. They said no, because it had to be the same exact style and color. Doesn't matter the size, though. It was the same style, but not color. At least that was the policy according to the person I spoke with on chat.
it's worth a try. I had them pricematch a pair of sam edelman booties from bloomingdales and bloomies did not have my size in stock- I think it was a computer glitch because it appeared that they had it in stock but when you tried to check out, they were out of stock. But, nordstrom still price matched it for me

Are you trying in person at Nordstroms or via Live chat?
Because LiveChat is chancey with price matching -- I have gotten price matched with things not in my size and not in stock at the color I wanted and with items sold out totally I have only gotten priced matched in store - I just screen print the item I want price matched or take a pic of it with my phone and bring it in the store and the SA price matches it for me as long as it was being sold for that recently they price match.

Good luck! Recently, I tried to get them to price match a dress in a petite size (the regular sizes were priced about $15 cheaper on the Nordstrom website) and the rep still said no.
I tried Live Chat and I've always gotten lucky. Just got shot down twice lol. But thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I'm going to college where there is no Nordstroms. (How do they survive?!!) But I will keep that in mind for when I visit back home!
