So fun! I used to love the “find one of the 4 golden llamas” thing at World Market. I was like a beast… it became a joke in my family how skilled and laser focused I was at golden llama hunting. They’d turn me loose and I’d be back about 5 minutes later with a llama and we’d use the gift card prize right then to buy goodies. No llamas can hide from me. I wonder if this is where Nordstrom got the idea? And I wonder how many people are gonna touch those golden hangers before someone actually notices what it is.
Everyone report *immediately* if you find one!!
Sadly I know I wont be able to make it to my store on any Saturday, mostly because I'm lazy as hell and I now live 30 mins away, which is why I only go when I go to work since I work 5 mins away lol. In the grand scheme of things, 30 mins isnt that long BUT it's entirely on the highway which I try to avoid when possible, so I will do the online entry instead!

Does anyone have experience with Bruno Magli? I have my eye on these. I’ve done a quick search online and the reviews I’m finding aren’t very favorable.

I’m also considering these Aquatalia boots. But I was hoping for a higher heel. Are they really waterproof? I live in Oregon and we get a LOT of rain.
I had a pair of suede Aquatalia boots, and they were some of the best boots for rain, snow, and slush I have ever owned. They stayed waterproof and still looked nice through 3 or 4 Chicago winters, and I wore them frequently.

Not the original person who asked, but thats great to hear. Ive always had my eye on aquatalia boots but I also worry about the suede getting all mucked up. I love the mocha shade, such a nice rich deep brown.

I have about 60 items on my wishlist. So far only a $30 throw is sold out. How are everyone else’s wishlists looking?
I have 74 items on my wishlist (several size duplicates though and many things I dont plan to buy now, but maybe if they make it to 70% off in the future), nothing sold out yet but I do see one pair of boots have 1 pair left (although they only started off with 2 pairs available lol...)

Yes to the Aquatalia boots! I also live in the PNW and have several pairs. Absolutely the best investment when you want to look good and keep feet dry 😄

Alright all, I am back from my very quick Nordstrom trip. I got my scratchcard (was offered one during my return, didnt even have to ask!) and got $5. Also tried on a few things which caught my eye online. I love seeing stuff in person because a) my wishlist shrinks after feeling and trying some stuff on, but b) my wishlist grows again with stuff I like more than I thought I would hah!! Ill make a few separate posts with my try on photos and thoughts.

First, I stopped by my tried and true Eileen Fisher section. The cardigan I was 100% certain Id buy is actually a no from me!! Its cute, fits fine, but I was expecting it to be a touch heavier and I am not a fan of the marled color in person. This is my usual EF size small.

I also tried the reversible stand collar wool & cashmere coat in the Ash colorway and am in LOVE! Will be buying. This is size small. Its very soft and cozy.

One other thing I wanted from EF is the black boucle hooded cardigan but it wasnt in store to try. Not sure if I will buy online or wait a bit.

Ok the next item is the Zella travel lite ruched jacket. I tried it on in Pink Fawn, both in a size small and medium (medium shown in photo), they fit really similarly, just the bottom cinched hem is what fits a bit more snug with the smaller size. I really like it! Cute to throw on during a chilly day, not sure if Ill buy but I liked it.

Also had this dress in my wishlist and I like it so much more in person!!! I think the color will flatter me very well, its the En Saison stripe cotton midi shirtdress. Didnt try on, but I would get my usual medium due to the waist being quite snug even on the hanger.

Ok next…. Coats/jackets!!! Got to try a few on.

First, the Barbour hebrides jacket, this is the light sand colorway (all they had in store) tried it on for size to know what to grab in the winter moss color online. This is a UK size 12, US size 8. Fits perfect and as expected. There is a zipper closure and buttons.

Next I tried on the avec les filles pieced back leather bomber jacket. This is a size small, im normally a medium and it fits. Honestly I felt the dye job looked kinda cheap and I didnt think it was flattering on me. I had black in my wishlist but its being removed. Not a fan.

Annnnd I tried the Reiss Lucia coat in the blue! Honestly? Kinda love it lol, but only when left open in the front. Not a fan of it tied up because then I feel its like a bath robe. This is a UK size 12, US size 8. Fits true to size. I might buy it…. Maybe. Hrrrmmmmm

Final post for the time being, then I'll shut up for a short while

For reference for all the photos I posted- I am 5'10, usually a size medium across the board (small with eileen fisher), size 8 top and bottom.

My store only had one pair of shoes that I was interested in, which are the Steve Madden Dorothea Bootie. They did look and feel like quality shoes, so I will try on the black pair in my size on Thursday morning when I go shopping. Aside from that, honestly it was a pretty sad assortment for shoes. Still bummed that there are no Eileen Fisher shoes AND there was no Paul Green in store, first year this has happened which is unfortunate.

I did forget to check All Saints, which I'm kinda mad at myself for! I wanted to see if that burgundy leather coat was in store to try on, alas, I will have to wait until tomorrow or Thursday. I also checked out the Veronica Beard Battista Houndstooth jacket and what was weird was that the sewn in brand tag showed "size 00-14" for every single one?? However the hang tags did have the correct size. Clearly some sort of bizarre manufacturing flaw. It also felt a bit cheap for the extreme high price they want for it.

Saw the AG jeans I want (ex-boyfriend mid rise slouchy slim jean). I actually had a dream about these jeans lol! I will try them on Thursday morning when I shop. They had two in my size so I am hoping they will stay in stock until then. They were extremely soft which I liked!! Not stiff at all.

There was more stuff I looked at and felt (several Nordstrom brand items, some Cinq a Sept, Rag and Bone, etc.), nothing stood out as extremely poor or extremely wonderful, which is why I did not mention them or take photos.
