Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2025

Okay. So I feel like we have this discussion every year because of their wonky size guide. How do Reiss coats fit? I can usually wear an XS or S coat depending on sleeve length and shoulders. I’m taller with long arms so sleeves are usually the main problem with coats in smaller sizes. I can’t decide if I need a 2 or 4. I’ve tried a double breasted Reiss coat, but never a single breasted. These coats are lined as well. Was this the brand that was putting out the unlined coats in sales past that everyone disliked?

I purchased the belted coat last year in the red, but it's a different style than what you posted so take the following with a grain of salt. I mistakenly ordered a UK8 (US4) instead of a US8, and it fit perfectly. Two sizes down fit me great because it is somewhat of a chic bathrobe, I was not swimming in it. I have broad shoulders, am tall (5'8") and average/slim build and usually wear US8 in coats.

I have four Anniversary wish lists going (one is items I really want, second is maybes which I am curious about and would like to see in person, a third is set for maybe if they are discounted further later in the year, and a fourth that is what is currently available at the store I am visiting on Wednesday). I will go there in the morning to get a scratcher, drink some coffee, eat some snacks, and look at items. My SA's schedule changed so I will grab whatever and then just check out with her when she gets in. I took the day off so guess I can wander for like three hours (oh geez), eat lunch, browse this thread, have an existential crisis and hopefully have a clear idea of what to actually buy when she arrives. Will post a more curated list of items once I narrow this hot mess down!

Between all of the lists, there are like 100 things (hellllllp), but I will most likely just get a few Zella basics, a new pack of Bombas, and maybe a couple of cotton pieces. That seems reasonable? I do want to try on the Captain EO jacket for funsies. If anyone tries this, please model it for us!

😂 I will never be able to see that Denim Coat without thinking of Captain EO! It looked like the lovely sales associate was having a hard time not laughing while talking about it.

Ordering online went smoothly. I did store pick up for all my items, mainly because I want to try them on and return them right away if I don’t like it. Plus, not so many packages delivering home for my husband to see 😅

The only item that sold out for me was expected since there was no stock before the sale:


I ordered everything I was interested in, so tomorrow’s shopping will be anything that catches my eye and items I ordered that I want to see sizing on since I only ordered one size for all my clothing. I figure that since I’m using double points tomorrow anyway, that it’ll be fine. Hopefully, nothing sells out. The only clothing brand I’m unsure of sizing is Avec Les Filles.

So fun! I used to love the “find one of the 4 golden llamas” thing at World Market. I was like a beast… it became a joke in my family how skilled and laser focused I was at golden llama hunting. They’d turn me loose and I’d be back about 5 minutes later with a llama and we’d use the gift card prize right then to buy goodies. No llamas can hide from me. I wonder if this is where Nordstrom got the idea? And I wonder how many people are gonna touch those golden hangers before someone actually notices what it is.

My Nordstrom can be pretty strict with this. Everything is roped off and a salesperson actually made me put all my things down and dig out my black icon Nordstrom CC one year. I was pretty mad and slammed it down on the counter harder than I needed to.

Thanks for sharing - that is pretty absurd! I mean, the year I was Icon my CC didn’t change into anything fancy and black. Would they have called up account services to verify my status?🙄

I just looked at my Icon early access appointment for tomorrow. My store location has the hours from 9-11 am, even though the store opens at 10 am. Previous years was 8-10 am. I like when I get the whole store to just Icons because the salespeople are a lot nicer. Previous years when I was still shopping after the store opened, the salespeople gave me a lot of attitude because they didn’t think I looked like an Icon - they would tell me those items I’m holding or shopping are not for me. Then I would have to prove that I’m an Icon and show them my card. It was super frustrating and sometimes upsetting.

Not for you?! Like those nasty sales ladies in pretty woman?! That is unreal. You should channel some Vivian attitude if that sh** happens again. That is extremely lame that you’ve had to deal with that at all.

Reiss definitely got called out last year for their unlined coats. I feel like I have been seeing a lot of lined pieces this year, so I'm very optomistic!
