I think the tag you looked at that was sewn in on the VB blazer was for the dickey . The dickey’s are one size fits all item .Final post for the time being, then I'll shut up for a short while
For reference for all the photos I posted- I am 5'10, usually a size medium across the board (small with eileen fisher), size 8 top and bottom.
My store only had one pair of shoes that I was interested in, which are the Steve Madden Dorothea Bootie. They did look and feel like quality shoes, so I will try on the black pair in my size on Thursday morning when I go shopping. Aside from that, honestly it was a pretty sad assortment for shoes. Still bummed that there are no Eileen Fisher shoes AND there was no Paul Green in store, first year this has happened which is unfortunate.
I did forget to check All Saints, which I'm kinda mad at myself for! I wanted to see if that burgundy leather coat was in store to try on, alas, I will have to wait until tomorrow or Thursday. I also checked out the Veronica Beard Battista Houndstooth jacket and what was weird was that the sewn in brand tag showed "size 00-14" for every single one?? However the hang tags did have the correct size. Clearly some sort of bizarre manufacturing flaw. It also felt a bit cheap for the extreme high price they want for it.
Saw the AG jeans I want (ex-boyfriend mid rise slouchy slim jean). I actually had a dream about these jeans lol! I will try them on Thursday morning when I shop. They had two in my size so I am hoping they will stay in stock until then. They were extremely soft which I liked!! Not stiff at all.
There was more stuff I looked at and felt (several Nordstrom brand items, some Cinq a Sept, Rag and Bone, etc.), nothing stood out as extremely poor or extremely wonderful, which is why I did not mention them or take photos.
I placed my Icon order last night right at 11pm central but feels like that was unnecessary as nothing has sold out. Grabbed some stuff for the kids, the husband got a Barbour jacket and Cole Haan shoes. My haul:

Stayed away from dresses this year as there was nothing that really excited me and so much was polyester. I was bummed none of the coats were offered in petite sizes for us shorties. Overall did some damage but nothing that I was really chasing, if that makes sense.

I thought the avec oversized leather bomber was designed nicely and love the dark brown but even online the dye job looks bad (like the lighter color that is supposed to give it an aged look, but the light color is just one straight section, doesn't look natural). Good to hear the feedback in person is the same. Hope I can try it on but it's not a "must buy" on the first day anymore.

Yeah I think that's what my issue was, they tried to replicate natural fading from wear, but it doesn't quite look like that! If it was a solid chocolate brown it would have been a lot better. Here is a photo from the side too where you can see the harsh color differences.
Did they do any goodie bags for the Icon event this morning?

I noticed an odd thing when looking at my wish list this morning. I had put some cute tiki glasses on there from the home section. Well in looking today, they appear available for purchase and are no longer marked as an anniversary sale item, and have the after anniversary sale price listed on them. I had sent my friend a screen shot of them, which was the only proof I had that I wasn't crazy and they were indeed shown in the preview. I wonder if it will be marked as anniversary sale when I am open to shop or if it was just a glitch...

My store, Indianapolis, had all the same. Another Icon shopper had to tell me they were also gifting nice garment bags to Icons. You are able to bring them back 7/26-7/28ish for free monogramming
Huh, this is weird and kind of sad. I was certain this year would at LEAST be just as good as last year with the nice snack boxes. I loved the treats I got in there.
