Ok, after waking up in the middle of the night to bid on a shoulder strap that I lost out on in the last second, literally, I want to have one of these companies make a shorter strap for my Kelly, because to be frank, after I injured my back and pelvis last year, I have realized that my Kellys, when worn on the strap, aggravate my injury.

So, has anyone ordered a short strap that can be used more like a shoulder bag, akin to the length of a Chanel?

Also, gracekelly or anyone else who has been able to find the good-quality canvas, can you please post from where, or pm me. Thanks so much!

I will post a photo of the bag I want to order the strap for, as I am not sure of the color, it is darker than a gold, more like a caramel or cognac color.

I'm so glad i came across this thread. Ive been searching high and low for a strap to put on my 32cm vintage box calf kelly. I have already contacted Mautto and hopefully will get my strap in a few weeks time. Thanks for sharing everyone! ;)

Hi Dupsy - I am now looking at getting a picotin and possibly adding shoulder strap and my search on the forum lead me to your posting. It has been many months now and can you please share your experience using your Picotin with the (strap)? Do you like how the bag falls against the body etc? :smile1: Thank you.

Hi, I don't use the strap all the time, usually only when I need to have my hands free. It works well for me and I don't have a problem with the way it hangs. Maybe figure out the strap length that works for you and get hooks big enough for the straps cos the ones I have seem to curl up the picotin straps if left on too long, though I don't seem to have any permanent damage. So I have just bought a 1970 vintage Rouge h box kelly. What colour would you choose? Deep cranberry or smooth burgundy?
