Non-H Shoulder Strap Success

Thank you all for your feedback! I am also thinking the left is better even simply because it is a smooth leather like box vs. the wrinkly leather on the right. The left is Deep Cranberry and the right is Fire Brick, for future reference. I just wish there was a leather color somewhere in between these two, which I think would be a 100% perfect match.

ahgoo, maybe when I get the actual strap it will be a better match than the sample. I hope so because I read that others besides you thought Deep Cranberry was a perfect match to their Rouge H bolide.

Princess-The great thing about Mautto is you're not spending a lot here for the strap. For a custom length, mine only cost $41.00. But as it turned out the color match to my Rouge H was spot on. And, if I remember correctly, I got it within 2 or 3 weeks. Very grateful to fellow tpf'ers for posting about Mautto.

Yes! I definitely will! Sometimes when the going gets tough, I do wish that the leather straps would magically morph into the more comfy canvas ones... the thinner leather straps do dig into to the shoulders once you lug around too many things. But it is such an elegant look.....

You're very welcome! Good luck with yours. I think contrasting color works especially if you're wearing the bag casually. My K comes with amazon canvas strap which in my opinion is not the exact match (colorwise) to the fabric part of my bag, but somehow it works.


Canvas strap is little more comfy than leather, I think, but it's more casual. Unfortunately, H Amazon canvas strap is really short (much shorter than the leather strap that comes with similar sized bag).

I had Mautto make a leather strap for my navy Kelly and it was a perfect color match. I also wanted a canvas strap and was able to find dark navy cotton canvas for that as well. The leather is the same length as the Hermes Kelly strap. I wanted the canvas to be cross body and I made that 42 in long from end to end.

I ordered a canvas strap for my picotin from them. Customer service is outstanding!

No. I sourced the canvas and hardware and had it made by my fabulous shoemaker. I brought him my TPM GP strap so he could copy the leather ends. He already had the perfect piece of navy leather to make the ends. I had him make the potiron Bolide strap for me as well.
