This made me think of something. Once I bought something from another retailer that was shipped to my house. It came nicely packaged in a gift box with lots of stuffing and stuffing around the gift box, and then the entire thing in a huge box. It turned out the SA had been mistaken about the size of the purse, so I had to return, but they said I had to pay return shipping. Well, I calculated how much it was going to cost in that gift box and that huge box, and decided I didn't want to pay it. I was mad that the SA had misled me; basically I didn't think it was my fault so I was mad about having to pay for shipping. So I kept all the stuffing in and around the purse, but didn't use the gift box or the huge box, and put it in a smaller box. If they had paid for return shipping, they would have gotten the whole shebang.

I also think some bags are given as gifts and the stuffing is removed, and if you buy in store, they usually remove all the stuffing, so when you return, you don't have the stuffing.

Hi whateve, I think having to pay shipping out of pocket is another story altogether! What ridiculous person was in charge to demand that?? Especially when it's not really your error about the sizing. I usually buy online now, after moving to a town that's nowhere near a Coach store; back when I lived close to several, I don't mind buying in the brick and mortar locations, since I can examine items on the spot. Without that luxury, purchasing from JAX is the safer bet; I've had stuff shipped from store with pen marks and whatnot before.

True, I usually request a gift box when I order and they remove most of the packaging/wrapping and take the $ amount off the tag. My last order, I didn't request a gift box, but they still unwrapped it and put in a gift box.

When I ordered a gift for my husband, they put the receipt (with price) in with the gift message card. *facepalm* I mean good thing it was my husband and I didn't care about the price being visible, but come on!

That said, most of the bags I purchase with a gift box do come wrapped to the nines -- just the way I prefer them. Price tag still on, but that's not relevant really. The only time this didn't happen was when I ordered the Washed Red Rogue. It was unwrapped, and didn't even come with a dustbag.

Anyone buy the black tea rose dakotah from the sale? I can't tell from the pics if it is huge or not lol
I haven't purchased but did see down in Columbus back in the winter. It is a beautiful bag. I'd say it holds the same as a regular rogue does. I know they made a few Dakotah's slightly smaller but not in tea rose I believe.

My store's a bit odd. They all know me by name, and will freely offer up F&F if I were to come in, but there's never been an occasion where they'd call or send me a card in the mail with the code. *shrug*

Too much effort for me to go in with a toddler and being 7 months pregnant, so meh.

I'm not sure if they have a certain number of them to pass out but that is a bummer! Your SA isn't working it!

Sounds like they're doing that to make/push a sale; if you're visiting their store it'd feel more likely that you're going to buy something??

I'm a regular customer at two different Coach stores back at my old city, and every one of the SA's knew me by name. On top of that, they all tell me I'm their "best" customer, whatever that means. 4 years there, thousands spent a year, forget about a code, never heard a whisper about the F&F. Each SA supposedly get 5 of these each, not sure if that's including his/her own.

And there were one or two tpF members who seem to think that there are just "better" buyers than myself, dollar-wise or else, so whatever.
