Next PCE? Anyone knows when?

Sadly, this time around, the SA’s received only 5 individual codes/coupons to be given out to their fave customers, totally at their discretion.

My SA told me that since this event began on 10/20, she’s had to explain this to several customers that she’d never seen before, that came in and “demanded” she give them the discount, or they would sue the store! I am serious.

Well, if they had any hope of getting the F&F somewhere, sometime, now that's probably never going to happen! I hope their names were blacklisted, so other stores will know not to give them the time of day. What appalling behavior over a few handbags!
 
Yeah, my SA and I aren’t social friends (but we get along great). She designated all of her coupons to her favorite customers because no one in her family or friends network is interested (not sure if they don’t like Coach or a different reason). And it surely doesn’t hurt her relationship with her regular fave customers.
But Coach is definitely inconsistent — with EVERYTHING! :giggle:

My SA and I aren't what you would call "social friends" either ... I only see her/them when I'm at the store, and when life gets frantic over the summer, I actually tend to disappear ... summers just seem to be too frantic or busy in my family ... not much time for shopping/malls.

But the more I think about it, I might have a guess as to why I received this (and if she reads this, a sincere thank you, truly and honestly). Many months ago I had ordered some things through my store, and a big goof occured. The Soho store was supposed to fulfill two items (for which I had both already paid), only sent one of the two, but closed the orders out as if they had indeed included both items in the UPS box. I always get my items sent to the store (thank God), so it was the SA's themselves who saw that one of the items was missing. My SA and another SA (who I also think is wonderful) got on it, tracked down the last one of this item that was in the country, got it shipped fast, and fixed all the monetary end. In two hours, these ladies cleaned up the mess that the Soho store made. (And Soho is supposed to be the mothership, right? Well the mothership was seriously off its game.)

So after that, I wrote a letter absolutely praising both of them (not just for fixing this fiasco, but also for service in years past), gave them copies, included my contact info for verification, and told them (and included in the letter) that I wanted them to give copies to whoever was appropriate as their superiors. And I meant every word of it. It was only a small item (gold hologram leather rexy), but I got the last one in the country *after* these ladies cleared up a mess that mothership Soho created! It both really pissed me off (at Soho) and really impressed me (with these two ladies).. I often take in treats like snacks or cinnabons, but in this case, I desperately wanted their superiors to know about their excellent work, and how fast and how well the problem had been fixed. ...... I mean I obviously could be wrong, but I'm guessing that contributed to me getting the discount?

(And if those ladies read this, THANK YOU, and . I've got two dinkies on my list another crossbody, a bag charm, and I'm still looking. :smile: )

I didn't get a card offering me the discount; I got a call (that my daughter took). I've bought almost all of my bags out of one store (7 in 2017, plus a couple of pairs of shoes for my daughter) and developed a relationship with a very friendly SA, but she moved on. I then started working with another...and she moved on as well. I've never been offered a code at that store, although I got a call about the PCE earlier this fall.

I sometimes browse at the store near where I work. I've bought a few small things there, all on sale (bag charms, a couple of scarves, a couple of wallets). There's a SA there than has fallen over herself offering me great service; she doesn't charge to ship items to me if they're coming from another store, she helps with monograms, she remembers my name when I'm in the store. It's incredible. She remembers what I said I'm thinking about, if I pop by she tells me she's keeping her eye on inventory/price, things like that. I really haven't done that much business with her; it's surprising (to me) that she can remember me and goes over and above to offer great service. She told me in advance that PCE was coming this fall, offered to put things aside for me, etc. I thanked her and she made a point of saying that it was no trouble, that I'm HER customer, etc. The others in the store even know I'm 'hers'. LOL

I can only imagine the service I'd get if I had actually spent much money there. Anyway, my daughter told me this week that SA 'X' called to offer me a discount. I confirmed her name with my daughter, and wondered if there was anyone new at my 'main' store by that name. I was shopping yesterday and stopped by and mentioned it, but they said there was no one by that name and feigned ignorance about the sale. I didn't push at all..I was just trying to track down the right SA.

I called the store near my office today, and indeed, that's the right SA. She was out until Thursday, so I asked if I could do the purchase and ensure that she got credit for it. Someone else was happy to help.

TL;dr. I now have a new 'main' store, and that lady will be getting my ongoing Coach business. She may have decided to offer such exceptional service because she looked me up (while selling me a small item) and saw my profile and YTD spend, but that's more than anyone as my usual store bothered to do.

I didn't realize it was a single use code or I might just have ordered more than the Tea Rose Rogue 25 I bought. Probably for the best - I did enough damage when I wasn't planning to. :angel:

Her manager had to get involved. Apparently, they “loosely” mentioned the name of an SA that works there but had the day off. They claimed the absent SA had promised them the discount — which of course was BS, because if she had she would have left instructions for her co-workers to honor the discount. In that particular store there seems to be great teamwork and communication. Anyway, it was confirmed that their story was bogus (by the absent SA).

She said it was hard to bite her tongue and be civil, while she was being verbally abused. A few other customers were also displeased, but were not as rude.

You can’t get blood out of a stone...if the coupons are limited, they’re limited...end of story!
Oh my god, what animals!

My SA emailed me directly and offered it to me as a "This is something new Coach is doing, we are allowed to offer it to 5 of our customers...." She also told me I had to come in when she was working, or place the order by phone with her, I couldn't get it purchasing online or with anyone else.

(This is one of the SA's I'd mentioned above.) I have no idea if the sale was still applicable to new Christmas items, because the one ornament I had mentioned wanting to order, she actually bought for me as a birthday gift (I've purchased from her long enough that she knows my and daughter's birthdays). My final bill was a little over 800, so I know I'm not the big, big buyer that some other tpfers probably are. I think my total Coach bill for 2017 currently stands at around 1500? But I've always tried to let them know how much I appreciate their skill at what they do (like the letter I'd mentioned above, or taking in grab bags of Bath/Bodyworks items, or sweets/snacks for them). They put up with my quirks, and go out of their way to fix things when other parts of Coach screw things up. They're good at being on top of things, and I think that should be rewarded in any business. (Yesterday I gave half of one of daughter's birthday cakes, to the owner of the restaurant where we'd had her birthday lunch party. They're another example of good people who are good at their business, and both we and they try to show our appreciation of each other.)
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what people purchased once these orders all come in! I'll post mine once I retrieve the rest from the store next week.

They have cards but my store also had a sheet with the SAs and a list of the 5 names so they can honor the discount if your particular SA is not there at the time.

That's a very good idea. Mine is actually heading off for vacation now. I don't even know when the sale "officially" ends, because my deadline was trying to get in to see her before she left.
 
My SA is away until Thursday, but when I called the store yesterday the SA I spoke to said there was probably a card for me left in the back. She called me back after checking inventory and I presume confirming that I was actually on the list.

There were three bags I was considering and I bought one yesterday and then another today. I sent an e-mail to see if I could still buy something else and the lovely SA who helped me yesterday said she still had my invite and that she’d be happy to put it through.

I bought two bags I’d had my eye on for months but would not have bought full price. I really love the 1941 bags and PCEs don’t usually work on them. I got the two for the regular cost of the more expensive one, so I feel really good about my purchase. I was going to buy a MTO Rogue in the next couple of weeks as a splurge, but I’m very happy to have gotten two beautiful bags for less than what I’d have spent for one.

My collection feels about complete now. I’ll eventually get a red bag when I fall in love with one, but I’m not in any hurry.

And that right there is what matters. I too did two 1941 bags (white cherries dinky and pink floral dinky), a 1941 medium t-rex that I couldn't quite justify to myself before, because given the size, I knew I'd never use it on a bag. But it'll look darn cute on my nick nack shelf, and two of the black leather with black lacquer rivet items. None of the 1941 rivet items speak to me ... just too much for me. But that black lacquer ... couldn't stop staring.

What black lacquer items? I’m not sure I’ve seen those. The Cherry Dinky is cute. I bought the small wallet in the print. Love that print. :love:

On Coach's site, search for: Lacquer rivets
They're not fancy, certainly not 1941, and I'm usually not a studs or rivets person. But the black rivets on these have bronze and gold tiny, glittery flecks in them. You excpect to see just a black enamel when you look closely, but instead you see tiny, glittery stars. I love it. I got the clutch/xbody and medium zip wallet in black.

They’re nice! Who cares if they’re 1941 as long as you like them.

I picked up my bags today and was told that I just got my Tea Rose itmes in time; corporate has said that tea rose bags are no longer to be included in the promotion.
Haha seriously? Pretty soon no 1941 will be included. Poor SA's having to keep up.

My goodies arrived today, can't wait to get home and unwrap. The awesome SA I was gifted even gave me overnight shipping :)
