Next PCE? Anyone knows when?

The friends and family sale is more exclusive, you can only get this discount if an employee gives it to you. It’s not open or advertised to the public. The employee is restricted on how many can be given out. The discount is usually 40% off any regular price and last time it included an extra 20% off sale items. There are few exclusions and most 1941 items are included in the sale.

The Preferred Customer Event (PCE) can also be exclusive to a point but it’s open to most customers. The employees can basically offer it to anyone with no restrictions. The PCE can be a straight 30% or a tier up to 30%. Usually there are more exclusions like the 1941 line from this type of sale. Sometimes this is offered without a code/invitation or you may receive an email from Coach telling you about it.
Thank you for the explanation.! :)

I think I was confused because during the last SAS, a fellow tpfer was generously giving out codes, which got me and others an extra 20% off our purchase (including sale and 1941 that was on sale.). That must have been some form of PCE vs friends and family because she received a bunch of unique codes to give out.

You are correct, there was a F&F event at the same time as the last SAS so it’s easy to get confused. There are some Tpfer’s on this forum who are Coach employees so possibly she had extras or knew someone who had extra F&F codes and shared generously with us. :p Let’s hope she gets the opportunity to share again!

Any idea what the pricing will be like for the SAS?
It's separate from the PCE, right?

SAS tends to start around Black Friday for the Fall and it usually is 30% off selected items that they place in their Sale section. Depending on how long it goes/what is left, they tend to mark items down towards the end up to 50% off.

Thanks!
How long does this SAS usually go for?
I'm wondering if it would be feasible to get something near the beginning of the sale and then do a price match near the end? Would they allow you to do that?

They only allow a price match within 14 days of purchase. The sale tends to go about from Black Friday to early to mid-January. I want to say that was how long it went last year.

My SA just texted me about Friends & Family, termed it a private sale with basically everything 40% off, starting tomorrow through the 29th. At 40% off, maybe I will get that Dinky 24 or saddle bag now... ;)

Well, after Mr. X’s Post I decided to wait on asking my SA and she still hasn’t offered . If anyone has a code that they don’t plan on using or a suggestion for a new SA who has codes to offer, please let me know.

Sadly, this time around, the SA’s received only 5 individual codes/coupons to be given out to their fave customers, totally at their discretion.

My SA told me that since this event began on 10/20, she’s had to explain this to several customers that she’d never seen before, that came in and “demanded” she give them the discount, or they would sue the store! I am serious.

Her manager had to get involved. Apparently, they “loosely” mentioned the name of an SA that works there but had the day off. They claimed the absent SA had promised them the discount — which of course was BS, because if she had she would have left instructions for her co-workers to honor the discount. In that particular store there seems to be great teamwork and communication. Anyway, it was confirmed that their story was bogus (by the absent SA).

She said it was hard to bite her tongue and be civil, while she was being verbally abused. A few other customers were also displeased, but were not as rude.

You can’t get blood out of a stone...if the coupons are limited, they’re limited...end of story!

All true except they really are supposed to give the discount to family and friends. They're just kind enough to offer it to the few clients that they can or clients they view as friends (which I'm lucky enough to fall into that category) My store has had people walking in and asking for the discount too. Saying they know someone and it's not true. It doesn't help that Coach is inconsistent with their rules. First it was a one time use now you can use it multiple times. Also there were no restrictions on what you could get now the SAs have been told they shouldn't be using it on the new items that are available to order but have yet to be put out on the floor. Duh! The majority of us want the new stuff.

Wow, what is wrong with people?! It's not the SA's fault (or the manager) that the codes are limited. Verbally abusing someone and threatening legal action over a handbag discount is completely ridiculous. I think everyone should have to work in customer service at some point in their life so they can learn to show respect to those who do work in CS. Ugh.
Aaannnndddd end rant. Congrats to those of you who were lucky enough to get discounts! Make sure you share photos of your new loot.

Yeah, my SA and I aren’t social friends (but we get along great). She designated all of her coupons to her favorite customers because no one in her family or friends network is interested (not sure if they don’t like Coach or a different reason). And it surely doesn’t hurt her relationship with her regular fave customers.

But Coach is definitely inconsistent — with EVERYTHING! :giggle:

Yeah I think it's the same case with my SA regarding family and friends not being interested. I was lucky enough to get my Cooper order in before this new rule about getting the stuff from the next release. I was thinking about getting a couple other items but they would be in the exclusions but my SA is going to double check. Who knows, they might change their mind about it. They've also been told they can't show us the new stock they've received for the next floor set. [emoji107]
