I sure hope not I haven't gotten mine yet but last time it came in the mail on a monday or tuesday so let's hope and wait a little longer....don't buy one off ebay yet.
 
Kallison, before I say anything else, I want to say that I completely agree with everything you've said. I think the current system is horribly unfair and very insulting to their loyal customers who aren't included.

However, if those loyal customers keep buying from Coach year after year despite not getting an invitation why would Coach send them one? The marketing gurus at Coach know that those people will keep buying regardless of whether they get the invitation so why waste it on those people? Wouldn't it make more sense (from Coach's perspective) to send one to a newer customer who recently made a big purchase and try to lure them back into the store to make another big purchase or perhaps even get them hooked? I don't know if there is any validity to this theory but I could see it happening. I am just glad that there are some good SAs out there who recognize the importance of keeping their loyal customers happy by extending the discount to them even if they didn't get the invite.
that makes perfect sense to me. if someone recently dropped a lot of money then, logically, you should do whatever it takes to make sure they do it again!

(and i'm glad you agree. i feel like i'm terribly out of line, but it's also something that i knew was bothering others and is something that has the potential to drive some of us away...).

and everyone keeps saying, oh, get to know an sa. which is true, and that's nice. but i live over an hour from the closest coach, so it's not like i can just stop in and chat everytime i'm there. because i only go, MAYBE once a month or so. i just cannot justify driving into atlanta every week to make a good relationship when i have school, you know? long distance relationships dont work. (:p). and by the time i go back, there are new people or schedules have been switched around.
 
I haven't gotten on yet. I wonder if it's because I didn't use my last one? (it's still sitting next to my computer) Oh well, I probably shouldn't be spending money after the damage I did at the outlet yesterday.

It is kind of annoying how random it is.

i read the picture that superstar posted and it said as apreffered customer the event would be on dec 1 and the regular event days would be from dec.2-10. does that mean if you havent recieved the card yet you will still get the discount?
 
:yahoo: I just got in after being out this afternoon. There was a nice message from of the SA's at the store I shop at. She said to expect it in the mail this week and that I can come in and pre-order on the 29th. :wlae:

So this is still hope for the you ladies that did not receive one yet!

That's awesome!! I didn't get a coupon last event, but my SA totally let me presale. I'm not sure how she did it per say, but I didn't need to have the actual coupon. Not sure if it's actually allowed, but she's was just so awesome.

So now, I think that just means that she gets to go in a day earlier than others. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean that people without coupons will get the discount.
 
Alright, I think I stirred the pot with me saying the word random. I should have explained it it is a random selection of the top customers because maybe one customer didn't use her invite the past two times but still spent a lot- she may not get another one. It is not an event this time where it's random as in one customer who spends 10k a year doesn't get one but one who spent 38$ did. Know what I mean?

If you do spend a lot and did not get one, go into your store during the event and be nice about it and ask if you can have one. They will most likely give it to you, you could even just say your best friend got one but you didn't. To be honest, if someone brings it up to me or any of my girls at the store- i'll let them have the discount. I'm not going to lose a customer or a potential customer over a silly card and not letting them use it. Also, it's not like every customer who walks in knows about it either- so it's not like every transaction has the 25% off on it.

Like I said about my top customer not being on the list too, of course she still is invited- we know who our top top customers are by name so we can tell when their not on the list.

So ladies, drink a glass of wine- create your wishlist and during the event (Dec 2-10) go talk up your favorite smiling SA and kindly ask her about it.
