Kallison, before I say anything else, I want to say that I
completely agree with everything you've said. I think the current system is horribly unfair and very insulting to their loyal customers who aren't included.
However, if those loyal customers keep buying from
Coach year after year despite not getting an invitation why would Coach send them one? The marketing gurus at Coach know that those people will keep buying regardless of whether they get the invitation so why waste it on those people? Wouldn't it make more sense (from Coach's perspective) to send one to a newer customer who recently made a big purchase and try to lure them back into the store to make another big purchase or perhaps even get them hooked? I don't know if there is any validity to this theory but I could see it happening. I am just glad that there are some good SAs out there who recognize the importance of keeping their loyal customers happy by extending the discount to them even if they didn't get the invite.
