Me too, I was contemplating between the Mastic mazarine or speedy.. I really like the extra pockets in the speedy (Mazarine only has one interior pocket). Went down to the boutique to try and decided that the mazarine is more my style than the speedy. the mastic color IRL is really to die for! it's grey with lavendar tinge in some light and taupey beige in other light.. and yet, a great neutral color! just read about the issues with the gold lettering and off-placement.. so glad i didn't get the new speedy.. I check my bags but will never check it to that detail!

My height and masculine build (I used to swim a lot so I have a wide body with square shoulders) does not quite allow for a boxy bag as I found it seems to add width to my already wide body. In addition, if the bag is on me, I imagine it might be challenging to open the bag with one hand to get say, my wallet out. Strap comfort is also of key importance for me as I am developing shoulder problems from carrying too much so I really need to downsize.

I do have a backup plan though; the Empreinte twinset or twice crossbody bag. I am mostly in casual wear, jeans/jogger pants/shorts (I reside in a year round hot and humid country) thus I thought should the Speedy not work, this bag seems to meet my requirements in terms of no handles, ample space, looks good as a casual bag and can be dressed up by looping the handle under the bag or as a clutch.

I missed out the Saint Germain in my research. I just had a look at it after you mentioned it. It is beautiful and I like how the chain dresses up the bag and offers alternatives in wearing it. I have a soft spot for chain bags as I find them so elegant and chic, but I wonder whether it will look too dressy for my casual attire. No harm trying it on this Friday too, right? [emoji6]

Along with the DE mini pochette, I am also really liking the Empreinte key cles. I saw it in Earth during my last visit and can't seem to get it out of my mind. The new color Raisin seems very pretty too but I will have liked it more if it had more purple tones.

Meeting my SA is really icing on the pie. She is the sweetest, allowing me time to look at different pieces, showing me alternatives, sharing cons of seasonal pieces in terms of paint chipping off. She actually suggested that I go for classic DE instead of the LE mini pochette launching in Sept as she did not want me to go through the hassle of repainting every now and then.

I have the Empreinte key pouch in poppy and I Love it! You will enjoy it too! Although I don't think it comes in the raisin color? unless you know something that i don't :)

I think I am hoping to see it in the Raisin color as my favourite color is purple. :) I checked the website last night and did not see it available in the key Cles but it really does look gorgeous. On hindsight, maybe it is easier for me if it is not available in Raisin since I am already finding it tough to decide between Terre and Noir for the key Cles. My curieus wallet is Noir and my primary purpose for the Cles is to use as a mini wallet for smaller bags and as a card holder for everyday.

Me too! My favorite color is purple! You know what? I just saw on the website that Mazarine comes in the color raisin now! OMG! I just bought the Mastic color! The mazarine in raisin looks soooo gorgeous online!

The handheld look is deceiving because it's so visually appealing, yet far from comfortable when you're comparing it to purses originally designed to be crossbody (less wide). The speedy becoming crossbody optional in the past handful of years is a nice touch but it's not on the top of my list as an everyday bag. I consider my speedys my go-to bags for occasions where I'm going somewhere and I'm just going to be sitting with family or such. It's great to take to dinner and a movie. I would never grab my speedys if I was going to be doing a lot of walking. You're exactly right, you will find yourself fumbling with it because of the massive shape of it. You're definitely making the right choice going for the twice instead because it's truly designed for crossbody. The slender design is going to be very comfortable to wear. My crossbody Saint germain is ten times more comfortable than my speedys and that has a chain, so I know the Twice is going to truly be ideal for you (compared to other LV crossbody bags) :). Also, the empreinte speedys truly lose their shape. They slouch down in the corners over time (front of the bag) and for the most part it happens evenly on both sides but the bag becomes heavy looking- like it's kind of sinking down into itself. The bottom corners collapse, if you will, as the weight of the top of the purse pushes it down. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't hold its shape like a speedy canvas. Also, the sides of the old model empreinte bags relax and the leather ripples in (especially if you attach the strap), so it ends up with waves in the leather. Again, not visually unappealing but it just doesn't stay a "classic speedy" shape.

Very smart of you to bring all your items and truly try the twice out. I hope you're able to get the terre key pouch as well. And I saw the other post about not knowing if you should get terre or noir- I had opted for a noir keypouch because I already have the terre wallet so I figured why have two of the same thing (essentially) in the same color when I can have two different colors in my collection. Because I was going to use the key pouch as my wallet for my pochettes. So I would say since you have a noir curieuse, try to get the terre pouch so that you can have one of each beautiful color. They're both gorgeous in their own way. The terre is a gorgeous brown and the best part is I find my terre zippy wallet actually matches well with my Damier ebene purses. And I know over time my Damier ebene purse collection will grow so I'm very happy to have a terre wallet and a noir wallet. My noir curieuse goes well with my Palm Springs mini and all my non-LV purses. My terre wallet goes well with my ebene purse collection and all things LV. We all need a black wallet, but the terre is just stunning. When I carry my empreinte terre speedy women never compliment the bag shape, they compliment the color and ask me which color it is. No one ever compliments my noir wallet, since it's standard black. I don't see too many purses with a shade of dark brown that wows me- except this one. I see a lot of "camel" browns or the like, but never a dark brown like terre. There's something very luxurious about it. And the contrast of the gold hardware on the terre looks better, in my opinion, than the noir. I'm an earth-tone color woman myself, and LV really nailed it with this shade because it looks good with any color outfit. When I was purchasing my empreinte terre speedy I was deciding between infini and terre because infini is close to black and I thought I wanted black- but I'm so glad I went with terre instead of infini because it's so much prettier (especially in person) and a little more unique as well. Everyone ended up getting the infini, and everyone has a black wallet. So I definitely say get the terre- I love my terre pieces and I know you will too. Congratulations on all the goodies you decide on

Ok, I'm on vacation in Orlando and missing Disney fun to drive to Tampa to exchange my Speedy bag! They are supposed to have the Bagatelle and I hope they do so I'm not driving an hour and a half for nothing! I am so excited!

I am learning so much from you in terms of how the Speedy looks with use and practicality. A huge thank you for sharing the experience. As I grow older and hopefully wiser [emoji6], practicality is a key factor in choosing bags and SLGS. If I know I am most likely not going to reach for it for various reasons of worrying about dye transfer, non practicality then I guess this is not the bag nor SLG to be.

I went through a phase whereby I bought colors I love but they turned out to be a challenge to match with my outfits. I had to rehome them and lesson learnt for me is to always ensure the bag matches with what I wear so that again, it falls back to it being practical.

When I purchased the Noir Curieus, Terre in the Cles caught my eye but I was looking for a small daily wallet that I need not fold my bills as I do use cash on a daily basis. Ironically, the Compact curieus wallet is not that small but because I only have four cards within and cash, it works out perfectly for me. I agree with you that Terre is absolutely gorgeous. I do like Camel browns too but Terre is such an elegant color and your point in having them both made absolute sense. I can now imagine them all in my bag, the noir curieus, terre cles, DE card case and DE mini pochette. What a lovely sight and being all neutral colors, they will match any bag. [emoji4]

I phoned customer service yesterday and was told Terre is no longer available. The piece that I saw could be a display piece. I am hoping I can still find it as I was offered a Cherry curieus wallet at the boutique even though I was told that only Noir is available. Wish me luck!

If it were $10 I would still seek out the centered one. That's how it's marketed and designed to be, that's what you'd like.

Just returned it today - the SA who helped me said she wouldn't notice it by herself but when i mentioned it to her, she could see why it bothered me.

Wow!! I wasn't expecting the quality to look THAT poor. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures with us. That's absolutely unacceptable quality. I'm so glad you returned it for the bagatelle in noir. Way better choice. Congratulations on the purchase :) as well as your husbands new wallet. And your Minnie Mouse fingernails look so nice! Hope the rest of your Disney trip is amazing :)
