Just picked up my earrings and necklace and got both the boxes and the travel pouches, didn’t have to pick? But no cleaning cloth 🤷🏻♀️
I thought VCA was doing a complete reverse course on the new packaging due to all the customer's complaints. VCA are offering both the hard box and the travel pouch to customers. Based on recent posts (in March,2024), this doesn't seem to be the case and it is more SA or boutique specific?

My SA picked the new packaging for me and I dislike it so much. I purchased the large model Perlee pearls of gold hoop earrings in rose gold. I received a tiny white box with a travel pouch stuffed inside. I will not purchase anything going forward unless the packaging is acceptable to me - this looks so cheap and non luxury.
Would you mind posting modeling pics of the earrings please? I have yet to see these in my boutique.
I have had experiences with just getting a pouch (usually from stores with higher clientele, seemingly). I got the gross pouch situation a few times, and now demand to have a hard box. When you're spending thousands of dollars and are purchasing from a luxury store, a hard box is important. There's no luxury in cutting costs.
thank you @GlamarousBarbie I was cleaning and organizing my jewelry today and it really upset me that I accepted that packaging but it had just recently been introduced so I guess I was open to it and it was ultimately my fault. Yesterday I purchased something from Cartier to be picked up this week - I left the boutique then went back in to make sure I could receive the travel pouch along with the hard packaging and my SA said "yes, of course". Since both brands are owned by the same company I am not sure why there is a discrepancy in packaging.
Even if you were okay with accepting it, VCA shouldn't be giving out a pouch which doesn't even protect the piece. The point of a box is to protect the piece, them giving a pouch is saying 'we don't care about our customers unless the piece is over $10,000'. It's shady... And, it's also shady that it took me a year of buying from VCA to even find a nice SA who makes sure to give me a box.
I think you can ask your SA for the hard box even though the purchase has made a while ago. The boutique seems much more flexible about packages these days and they might be happy to give you one!
I got same earrings in medium size earlier this year and it came with the hard box + travel pouch+cleaning cloth. The same SA last year gave me original hard box + newly updated one when I resized a 5-motif bracelet. It might be depending on their stocks, but I felt like they were willing to provide what they have.

thank you so much @casadelpi I love them and I wear them to work occasionally and they put me in a very powerful/happy mindset. I will ask my SA thank you for the suggestion - they were purchased in January and maybe they will accomodate me. I will ask for the new packaging when buying a new peice.
