Yikes. I am all for eco-friendly products but this packaging is underwhelming. It makes the presentation cheap and less special. Luxury it ain’t.

I’m so sorry. I think your new piece is beautiful but they should have provided you a decent box. Don’t they think their jewelry worth the proper storage? I really think you should ask them for a proper pendant storage box. You got a pave magic pendant. It requires proper protective storage. I could not accept it. They should be able to scrounge up a box somewhere. There is just no excuse.
I’m so sorry, to receive a Magic pavé pendant this way just feels so not luxurious. I’m actually appalled that VCA has the audacity to do this to high paying customers. I still believe that it should be mandatory for a luxury jewelry purchase to include the thick velvet box and give the travel pouches as extra, as is the industry standard. I’m so turned off by this.I think I will find an opportunity to ask the SA if they have a better packaging for pave pieces. Not sure what their response will be. I have quite a few of jewelry boxes and pouches that I don't really use, so I wasn't pushing to ask for a box since the magic pendant is flat as compared to other 3-D jewelry pieces like earrings, rings, etc.
For comparison, here is the new packaging VCA offers for the magic pave pendant - white paper box (thick base) with ribbon + a thin big pouch.

The old packaging I received for non-pave magic pendant - a white small paper box + velvet jewelry box. (+ travel pouch optional).

Would you mind attaching a pic?Yes I just bought a 10 motifs necklace, and it comes with the new packaging. A travel pouch inside a white cardboard box. Doesn’t feel luxurious at all.
It’s the same one as above - for the magic pave pendant.Would you mind attaching a pic?
I am speechless.....It’s the same one as above - for the magic pave pendant.
