Oh no! I put a deposit on YG guilloche bracelet. I would not be happy to receive it without the box or pouch or cleaning cloth!
They are just greenwashing their greed.Cutting on the box will save them millions. One American airline removed 1 olive from each passenger meal. They saved 40000 dollars a year.(preCovid).How much are VCA saving by skimming on the boxes. Are they taking us for sheeple!

If you are lucky enough to shop at a boutique that still has the old packaging, my suggestion is to go to your SA and politely ask for the travel pouches. I know with the boutique I shop at, they stopped delivering pouches this past July. I agree with what most of you have stated about getting the box as part of your purchase and experience. The lower tiered jewelry houses are offering boxes, does it make sense that VCA can't offer a box to us?

I’m so sorry. I think your new piece is beautiful but they should have provided you a decent box. Don’t they think their jewelry worth the proper storage? I really think you should ask them for a proper pendant storage box. You got a pave magic pendant. It requires proper protective storage. I could not accept it. They should be able to scrounge up a box somewhere. There is just no excuse.

I think I will find an opportunity to ask the SA if they have a better packaging for pave pieces. Not sure what their response will be. I have quite a few of jewelry boxes and pouches that I don't really use, so I wasn't pushing to ask for a box since the magic pendant is flat as compared to other 3-D jewelry pieces like earrings, rings, etc.
For comparison, here is the new packaging VCA offers for the magic pave pendant - white paper box (thick base) with ribbon + a thin big pouch.

The old packaging I received for non-pave magic pendant - a white small paper box + velvet jewelry box. (+ travel pouch optional).

I’m so sorry, to receive a Magic pavé pendant this way just feels so not luxurious. I’m actually appalled that VCA has the audacity to do this to high paying customers. I still believe that it should be mandatory for a luxury jewelry purchase to include the thick velvet box and give the travel pouches as extra, as is the industry standard. I’m so turned off by this.

I could care less about not getting a box, but I think they should offer one to customers who want one. I mean if it was a gift, how embarrassing would that be?

What baffles me are the extreme changes VCA is making- first they would send all pieces bought online with those-ridiculously large boxes that also required a large-shipping box and lots of shredded paper, such a gigantic waste that not giving little boxes will not makeup for the extreme waste and environmental damage they did with that practice for years.

Their practice of care for their products has also gone from basic service being complementary to now trying to even charge for larger posts for earrings when their basics are too short.

Making the HP hard to get, etc.

Personally, I’m turned off, and it’s a bummer. I used to be ok to overpay exponentially for their tiny diamonds and gold, but I don’t know anymore.

This is actually stressful and disappointing. I don't want to be calling, begging, asking, pursuing for something like this. I don't want to deal with it. After consideration I am going to cancel my order and buy from a brand where I don't have to even think about trivial matter like this. I have certain standarts for luxury shopping and I find no joy in the way vca present themselves at the moment.

With the recent price increase and then launching this packaging with cheap presentation is such a turn off for me. If VCA already increased prices for all their products it should cover the original packaging cost and more. The eco friendly initiative sounds like a farce and inappropriately presented in this way for a luxury brand of this caliber.

I just… :confused1:
