New packaging

To be honest I would be quite upset to receive travel-esque pouches at pave piece prices. It just doesn’t sit right with me, the luxury experience is lost.

I was a bit disappointed, but I don't normally complain so I didn't raise it to my SA.
I don't think it's her fault though. I always received travel pouches for all my other purchases even I never asked for it. Plus, they also invited me to special offsite event.

I think it could be new corporate direction to change to new packaging. The new packaging now has a white VCA box (thick base) + travel pouch to contain the piece. And this may eliminate the customers' ask for travel pouches in the future.

(PS. I checked my other non-pave magic pendant, I did receive a small VCA necklace jewelry box in the past.)

First of all I forgot to say earlier congratulations on your new beautiful piece!! I’m sorry it ended up being a bit disappointing for you and you’re such an understanding person to not mention anything about it.

I am upset for you because if I spent $$$ on a pavé piece I would be offended that VCA cannot spend a small fraction of that cost towards luxury packaging. In my mind we are already paying ridiculously high prices for VCA and them being stringent about no extra pouches and 1 pouch is all you get per purchase (as per what other members have said happened to them) just makes me think of mall jewelry stalls. It would ruin the entire experience for me, but alas I still love their designs…. It’s just disappointing they’re going in this direction under the pretense of being eco friendly.

Yup, I have to say it's quite disappointing. I am curious for even higher-priced point jewelry pieces, how will the packaging look going forward? Maybe I was just a bit unlucky, and VCA should still have better packaging for pave pieces? I don't know.
However, based on the look of the new VCA white boxes (with a thick base), I think VCA likely have a new "eco-friendly" packaging initiative and somewhat use a thin "travel-pouch" looking packaging as a standard packaging.

Imagine buying a Rolex or a Birkin and only getting a travel pouch or a dust bag. Totally kills the lux experience for me.

Here is my suggestion. Every single person here who is not in favor of this new “packaging” (if it even qualifies) should clearly and immediately voice their huge disappointment and dissatisfaction to their SA so they can carry that message to corporate and they make some changes. This kind of budget saving pouch is an embarrassment. And not buy another piece until they fix this. No. This is a seriously bad business decision. Other than my SO, I am holding off on buying another piece. I don’t even feel like I am missing anything. Thanks for helping me save for my news studs VCA.

I’m so sorry. I think your new piece is beautiful but they should have provided you a decent box. Don’t they think their jewelry worth the proper storage? I really think you should ask them for a proper pendant storage box. You got a pave magic pendant. It requires proper protective storage. I could not accept it. They should be able to scrounge up a box somewhere. There is just no excuse.

Will definitely politely voice my opinion. There are items I already ordered prior to this and have not received, let’s see what they say.

I love VCA. VCA is timeless and I love their designs. There are still few pieces I hope to add in the future. My SA is great too and I haven’t had a negative experience with VCA.

With that said, if this new packaging is indeed the new permanent packaging, I think VCA was trying to cut costs and eco-friendly was a nice way of justifying this new packaging. If they didn’t just have a price increase and changed the packaging to this instead, I would have said “I understand, but just increase the price.” But a price increase and then this? No.

I love the (old) VCA packaging. It is part of the luxury experience. The jewelry pieces are beautiful, timeless and for life, but the packaging is the cherry on top. It’s also a large part of the brand’s identity.

This is a first world problem and I am privileged to even be annoyed about this at all. But next time I buy a piece (whenever that is) and if this is the packaging I get, I will be kind of disappointed.

I ordered a Vintage Alhambra necklace off the US website and will be receiving it tomorrow. I’ll be curious how the packaging will be.
I hope you get lucky and still receive the old packaging. I believe they’re using up whatever they still have in stock and then moving on to the new packaging. I fully paid for a bracelet order before the price increase but haven’t picked them up yet because it’s with a boutique overseas. I hope by the time I pick up in early December they would have reserved the old packaging for me since I technically paid for this in October before the price increase and before the new packaging announcement otherwise I’m going to be quite disappointed..
