New packaging

I just watched an unboxing on YT that was posted yesterday and saw she had received the new packaging for her new VCA purchase. I think she's located in Vancouver, B.C.

It's at the 9:25 mark where she talks about the new packaging.

I was eager to see what it looks like, now I am just sad but I assume most people will not mind it so VCA might get away with it.

Actually, I don't know what it is exactly. It is a beautiful paper cardboard box, with some blank cards/envelops inside. I received it for a holiday this year.

If anyone knows what this beautiful decorative paper cardboard box is used for, please kindly advise.
Not sure if this has been answered already as I am still working my way through the thread, but it’s a flower pressing kit. When I got mine it also came with a flower bouquet, which I suppose I was meant to press and dry!

Not loving this new direction with the packaging :(

I am curious how they will pack 5 motif bracelets going forward. Please share if you know!

I’m in Australia and just noticed that online shopping is now available for some pieces (this is new for us and kinda dangerous for my bank account) - I adore my SA and still prefer to buy from her but I am wondering how online orders will arrive (old vs new packaging).

Receiving the original packaging (white outer box and creation housed inside the green box) matters to me as I don’t purchase luxury jewellery on a regular basis… I’d be disappointed to receive the new packaging if I made a purchase.
I suspect if they do away with the velvet box, the 5 motifs will come in something similar (or maybe even the same) as the current long rectangular travel pouch that they already give you for the 5 motifs. It has a little tab on each side to hold down the two ends of the bracelet.

Jaime Le Luxe on YouTube posted a video about the new packaging. She was unboxing her Frivole BTF ring and it was secured in the travel pouch. I’m amazed that a ring that costs almost 11k is secured in only a pouch. In the video she compares the old packaging to the new one. Definitely a step down.

Thanks for sharing this!

Massive downgrade in the packaging :(

Jaime mentions some stores are piloting the new eco friendly packaging and so far it seems only boutiques in the US and Canada are offering creations in this manner.

Has anyone in Asia/Australia received the new packaging?

From my experience, this is the only travel pouch that isn’t functional. Once the bracelets are resized, it doesn’t exactly fit in the tabs :(

So since VCA redesigned the packaging I hope they redesigned this particular travel pouch too lol.

Watching the video, all of the subtle differences (lack of embossing on the ribbon and thinner, lighter box) feel like a definite move to cut corners. It's pennies on the dollar, though, so it makes me wonder where else they might be making changes that might not be as apparent and might yield more cost savings for them. For example, would people notice upon purchase that earring posts or the guilloche or hammered motifs were 5% thinner if they kept the edges the same? I'd be curious to see average weights of pieces for the past few years.

honestly i don't understand how travel pouches for rings and earrings can be designed and look this way. wouldn't it damage (squash) the pieces while in transport? To me, the outer box is the one that I will not keep.

Exactly. I expressed my concern with my SA on the new packaging's suitability for the storage and protection of the delicate VCA jewelry pieces (i.e. rings, earrings, and delicate stones/designs). The Stores Manager is aware of some customers' feedbacks already. I think these collective feedbacks would be shared with headquarter at some point.
Let's see if voicing out our concerns/opinions would help VCA to correct this direction.
