Indeed. And a beautiful touch it is.For a 35 with a touch of exotic though. The non-exotics would be a bit less.

I think you meant 9900USD?Here is the 24/24 35 in Etoupe Togo/Swift on the Netherlands H.com site for €7250, or approx $7900 USD:

No, I meant what I typed. European prices are much better than US ones right now as the dollar is extremely strong against the Euro.I think you meant 9900USD?
I'm still confused how the canvas is just 100$ less than the all leather version of the 24/24. If this is indeed accurate, the leather seems a better price-point, right?

I own it, and I love it. It's lightweight, durable, roomy, beautiful, elegant, under-the-radar-chic veering towards interesting, and quirky. I plan on carrying it all summer. It will also make a great travel bag. If you are cringing at the price, it isn't for you.does anyone have any thoughts on the 24/24 with Viking Canvas and Swift? I am cringing at the price because it isn't all leather.
Thank you for kindly explaining the global monetary exchange rates which I am quite aware of, having lived in 3 continents. No, I meant what I typed. European prices are much better than US ones right now as the dollar is extremely strong against the Euro.
I paid $9800 for my Viking Toile and Swift bag in NYC last weekend. If I had flown to the Netherlands or Belgium, I could have purchased an all-leather one for €7250, which in today's exchange rate is $7885.46.
Your confusion seems to stem from a lack of understanding with regard to global monetary exchange rates.
I think this is a semi-replacement for the toile birkin. It's a stunning bag and the toile is lightweight--perfect for summer and for travel.I own it, and I love it. With regards to the durability of Hermes canvas bags, a long time friend who was buying Hermes years before I even got interested in the brand owns one of the Garden Party 36 canvas totes. She used that thing every day for at least 10 years lugging files to and from work until she actually wore away the leather corners at the bottom. The canvas was still fine btw. There were actual fairly large holes in the leather corners. She took it to spa but was told that they could not replace the corners because they ran the risk of damaging the canvas if they tried to unstitch the leather corners to remove them. She still uses that bag but not as often and the canvas is still fine lol.I think this is a semi-replacement for the toile birkin. Regarding price, as others have observed, there's little differential between the toile and the all-leather version. I think this is a function of the structure. First, despite the different materials, they're the same bag and are equally labor intensive. Moreover, the canvas may be even more so, given that it probably requires interfacing and interlining to give it structural support not necessary with the leather bag.
Enjoy your bag and wear it well and in the best of health.
I had a toile Birkin. It was fabulous--very lightweight and even though the toile was beige it had no spots or stains. It's surprisingly durable. Although "fabric," it's every bit as luxurious as the all-leather version. Hoping the 24/24 35 in canvas will pop up again . . .With regards to the durability of Hermes canvas bags, a long time friend who was buying Hermes years before I even got interested in the brand owns one of the Garden Party 36 canvas totes. 29cm is about 11 1/2 inches, so a 13 inch laptop won't fit. The size 35 would be the only model that would fit, but the bag in leather empty is heavy. While a shoulder strap would be helpful in distributing the weight, as you note, this model doesn't come with a shoulder strap.Hi! I have a small question : do you think the size 29 could fit a small laptop (13inches) or should I go to size 35?I think 35 would be too heavy and you don't have the strap
