New Chanel Purchase Limit Policy

This may be an unpopular opinion, and I know the new limits aren't liked by many, but it was nice to go to the boutique a few days after launch and actually have eye candy to browse through. I saw pretty much all the bags that are in this collection. Got to see all the CFs, and they weren't already reserved. It's been quite a while since items weren't already sold out before hitting the floor. I'm already at my CF limit for this year, but it allowed me to take a look at some seasonal pieces and also take my discretionary spending fund to Tiffany....to my DH's dismay, lol
I Agee with your statement. I finally saw colors in the 22A launch thread that people are still trying to figure out true colors from pictures. I went to various locations so it was great to see different merchandise from the launch on the selling floor. I'm sure once that seven day block from shipping is up a lot of this eye candy will be gone.

In pre-covid times (during Karl era) there were no limits on classics and yet I've never had to reserve the seasonal bag and would always get the one I wanted. I would see someone post a photo here or IG after the launch, I'd go to the store to check it out and if I'd like it, I'd buy it.

So I'm not sure why we can't we go back to those times (and prices ).
Those were the good 'ole days. Much simpler times. I'd LOVE to go back to those prices! Looking through my bags, it's hard to compare 2 bags that are essentially the same bag (other than color) and see a price gap of as much as $4000. When I do the comparison, it makes me sick. I get that prices of goods go up. I mean, gas isn't under $1 anymore (*gasp* I actually remember those times  ), but the sharp rapid increase by Chanel for their goods is a bit over the top.

Ok. I'm still not liking this new policy but I think this evens out the playing field for at least one week that hot Chanel item might be sitting in a boutique. To me this could help the non VIP customer score their dream bag or accessory. After the seven days over the phone and shipping will resume. New stock should be arriving so why would anyone need to purchase from a reseller or ps if you have a great relationship with maybe a couple of Sa within boutiques or department stores? Will there be some type of normalcy with these rules implemented shopping for Chanel products? Only time will tell.

But they won't be shipping classics or minis... And requires you to live near a store.
