May it be possible that the rules are different in Europe? I was told 1 bag every 2 months. Doesn’t make 12 but 6 bags a year or am I misunderstanding?

Yes in Switzerland you can buy only one bag within 60 days.
I’m not sure how this is going to combat the resale market. Because frankly if I can’t buy a bag I really want, I’ll just find it from a reseller.
So a lot has changed since I purchased Chanel years ago and I’m trying to keep up with the changes as I’ve been so excited to buy again. I just got a jumbo and wanted to get another bag. I was looking into a classic flap or 19. Can someone please explain how the limits work for classics per month/year in the U.S.? Is the 19 now considered a classic? My jumbo was purchased in February like a week ago, am I able to purchase a bag in March? My husband got the jumbo for me under my name in store and it sounded like the limit was a couple bags per month and neither of us fully understood. Sorry for all the silly questions. Thank you in advance.
From what I know, you're limited to 1 bag and 1 SLG per month. It resets at the beginning of each month. This is for US.
I believe classics just fall under the same limit. The 1 bag per month goes across all bags I believe.
Is there a "special circumstance" for a one-time use where you can buy more than the limit? like for extenuating circumstances?
There is a limit on classics or what they call icons. You can only purchase a max of 6 classics per year. Chanel 19 is considered a classic or icon bag.
I think it depends on the what those circumstances are. It would require at the very least approval from the store manager. There are different rules or exceptions for high spenders across bags, RTW, fine jewelry, etc. But for the average customer (not VIP) they are pretty strict with the rules nowadays. Doesn’t hurt to ask if you feel your circumstance dictates an exception.
Apologies, if there is another thread on this. I hear that Chanel is limiting most of us to two classics a year, no matter what size. I also hear it will be implemented around June 7th or so. For this year, I already bought one medium classic and two minis. Would I be able to buy the Chanel 19 bag? Is that bag included in the quota? Please correct me if any of my info is wrong.
The Chanel 19 is not part of quota, so you should be able to purchase. Only the following bags are subject to quota: timeless classic mini square, mini rectangular, small, medium, jumbo, maxi, and mini rectangular with top handle

I was told by my SA in the US yesterday chanel has implemented new Chanel guidelines for chanel classic purchases: Only 2 classic flaps including the mini can be purchased in a calander year. No reserves for Spring Act 1 & Fall Act 1. I already bought a chanel medium CF in Jan 2022 and want the green iridescent mini square bag. So that will be it for me for the rest of the year 2022. Hoping I can get the green iridescent.
