It's here and so lovely! The small size is perfect for me (5,5) and it super comfortable to wear crossbody.
The leather is very soft and feel reminiscent of the old city bag I've got. Overall I'm thrilled to finally own a black city bag!

Hi, I’m trying to decide on the black small le city. Should I get the brass HW or the silver HW? I feel like the silver stands out more on the black background and you actually see the cool hardware design. However, I almost exclusively wear gold jewelry. Which is more classic?

I think the brass feels more premium than the silver on the Le City. I was little disappointed with the silver compared to my vintage city with silver hardware. It’s much lighter now.
I think they have a whole different look.
The brass looks quite industrial, mean and moody (in a good way) and the silver seems quite mod and clean.
I think you need to try them on. I know it's not exactly the same dilemma, but I was sure I wanted a Small before I went in and ended up with a Med.
I saw the silver hardware in person and it’s quite shiny and makes the bag look cheap, imo.
I personally like the brass hardware more. Plus, i believe that the older Balenciaga bags are brass hardware so it just seems more classic/OG—lol hope that makes sense.
Yes, and I have a Le City with silver HW and one with black HW. For some reason I immediately noticed how plasticky the hardware on the silver felt. That’s just me though. At the end of the day you’ll love either!
Appreciate everyone’s comments on the hardware. I’ll go try them on but based on your feedback, brass is on the top of my list.
It seems strange for them to skimp out on the hardware when that makes a bag feel more luxe and substantial.
My only Balenciaga is a city with the big gold studs and hardware- can’t recall what that model was called. But I remember those were good quality and hefty.

For me, it's not the studs, they are probably brass under the silver, it's the strap's clips. They're the only thing that bug me about mine. Otherwise I love my bag.
I am trying to sit on my hands and not buy the Camel suede or the Army Green.
The Camel will get filthy (I repeat that to myself like a mantra) I can't think of anything negative about the AG - except the lighter, brighter zipper against the studs is more noticeable than on the Camel.
