Love the color and saw in person. I ended up getting the black City and get colors with my Goyards.
New 2024 Le City - What do we think?

Went into the Balenciaga boutique to try the new City in-person. As others have mentioned, the leather did feel drier than the original City. I also noticed (apologies if this has already been stated), there are no more "ears" on the zipper, and the zipper itself is only one-way now vs the double zippers of the original. I actually tried pulling the one end of the zipper out to see how it would look with just one ear, but the construction doesn't actually allow for it and I didn't want to damage the bag.
I used to own the metallic edge mini and I don't know if it's just in my head, but the mini City in-store looked and felt smaller. I found measurements online to compare and it seems the old minis were about 1 inch larger in depth. Can anyone who owns both the original mini and the new mini confirm this?

I went into the Bal boutique earlier this week to try the medium and large size of the new City, as I've been eyeing pre-loved City and Work lately but not sure how the sizes would look on me. The aim is to get an everyday bag - for trips to the office (with or without the laptop) and weekend getaways.
I'm very late to the party and have never owned a City/Work before so can't compare but the leather on the new City does look plastic and stiff. I wonder if it means it will hold shape better compared to the old City/Work (something I might prefer if carrying laptops).
The shoulder drop on the Large City (Work equivalent) is long enough for me to comfortably carry the bag on shoulder, even when wearing a wool blazer. Not sure if this would be case with Work.

The one with bag charms is the medium size.
Great bag. No , work cant be worn on the shoulder. These handles look better for carrying.
Old Cities with the ears can carry most laptops. It's a bit of a tighter squeeze with Blackout Cities, but they still fit. Works are plenty roomy, and some (if the handles have stretched or if a later Work with slightly longer handles) can fit over the shoulder but not over a thick coat.
I actually like how the bag looks a bit "cleaner" now, to distinguish it from the Cagole line where they went all out with the studs, whipstitched shoulder pad, and overhanging zipper, which I also love.
oh my goodness, can i just say that the number of colours balenciaga is pumping out is really making my head spin and making it so much harder to decide which colour i should get next!! i've already got the medium le city in black and silver hardware and have been eyeing either the small or mini but i have analysis paralysis now 
i can't decide if i should get the almond, or latte or camel in brass hardware, or if i should get the metallic silver one.

I saw the Le City in person today at THE Saks 5th Avenue. I was carrying my 2008 Black Cherry and it got lots of admiration from the SAs. It was also a very slow day at the store, so I got to hold lots of bags.
Frankly, I prefer the leather feel and the colors of my classic Cities. The new colors are a bit grayer and less vibrant. The only color that made my heart beat faster was the silver. The leather feels great, and the silver shade is stunning. If I had a reason to carry a silver bag, that would be my choice. Balenciaga got it right with the silver Le City.

I have the Med silver. You can see pics on this thread and the 'daily' if it helps. I have had mine since last May and haven't regretted it for one sec.
I'm possibly thinking od a silver mini, but then it would be my 3rd Bal bag in silver - unless I went for the red. I like alternative looking evening bags. I would love it even more if there was a bright yellow.
