Wow. Um... I don't really know what to say about these. Looks like there will be some nice WOCs though maybe. Thanks for posting. Oh and there's a thread for 2017 if you wanna share this there.

Yeah, I can't get any cohesion or feel for where all these crazy collections are going! Fun, sure, but disjointed. Would love some elegant, beautiful, timeless, sophisticated bags. Chanel will just keep getting my $$ for now. Sigh.

Hi KimMN!

I had this in the reverse mono, and sold it because the reverse mono on the bottom part lost its structure. The bag looked odd unless it was completely full. I was wondering about the black leather version. Does the leather feel pretty sturdy?

TraceySH,
The Bag is not very structured, the black leather is very soft and my guess is the Mono had more structure to it. It's not a bag I will carry everyday so I'm hopeful that it will hold up.

i have been wondering about this lately - Louis Vuitton seem to be chasing the 'latest trends' with their designs in the past year or so. I just question how fashionable these designs will be in 3-4 years. Like patches on bags - they are everywhere now - clothes, bags, jackets. Maybe my taste is changing but i am gravitating towards understated timeless designs.

I agree, some of these seasonal bags just seem so "disposable." In particular these printed canvas collections: I am totally over them.

Agree! There is a gimmicky feel lately that I cannot overlook. I yearn for a few classic and elegant pieces. Is that too much to ask?
The classic and elegant bags are there. It's just that all these seasonals muddy the landscape. I know that Louis Vuitton can't survive on the Capucines, the Petite Malle, the Twist, the Alma and the likes... but all these non-stop seasonal pieces just cheapen the brand in my opinion.

I think I used mine maybe about 12-14 times? It's fine if it's stuffed, but less than stuffed it's hard to close the clasp. It was hard for me to let it go! The bottom reverse mono was SO flimsy. I can't imagine your black leather could be as thin as that! The black is, IMO, more timeless. It's beautiful!
