Love how Chanel nail color goes on, but it does chip after a day or two. I even bought the top coat hoping it would make it last longer but it doesn't appear to be that great so far. $40 a lot to spend on nail color.

i love the maybelline express finish. it's cheap, shiney, comes in the colors that appeal to me and best of all....actually drys in sixty seconds! it chips a teensy bit more than OPI with top coat, but i chip my nails every couple of days regardless of what type of polish i use. at least this way it takes less than 10 minutes to redo them instead of an hour.

Chanel!! I don't know, I've had pretty good luck with Chanel. It just stays on 4ever (for me). I don't do anything special no top coats, or base coats....I do make sure my nails are buffed and smooth before applying, but that's it. I don't know if that's helping. :confused1: I don't know why it seems to stay, but whatever. I'm happy!

I had it on my toes for like 2 wks. and they looked as good as day 2 or 3 of wear. :shrugs: (LOL, ended up wearing for 3 wks.).

On my hands..ya, I'll have a teeny tiny bit come off, but not until day 6 and that's just a smidgen at the sides (maybe) if that. I don't experience huge pieces chipping off at all. LOL!! Once I decide to take it off it's not because it's all worn/chipped off...but because I'm bored of looking at it!! HAHA!! :p

OPI - Lincoln Park After Dark, Lincoln Park After Midnight, and Have You Seen My Limo? for dark short wintery nails. An Affair in Red Square is a fabulous candy apple red that I adore - I can't get enough of it!

I use:
Essie
Jessica
China Glaze
Givenchy
MAC
Sally Hansen Supershine Top Coat
Orly
Artistry
...but OPI takes the cake IMO. I love the color selection, love the price and it really lasts a long time! :yahoo:

Lippmann Collection

w/Opi Start/Finish top and base coat. Then add a quick top coat every other day and I can go a week with no chipping at all!

Also when applying color, make sure to sweep the brush along the edge of your nails (horizontally) and it kind of seals in the edge and chips less that way.
