I love OPI, both for the color selection and the durability. I put on first the Chip Skip Preventer, then a double layer of polish, then the RapiDry coat. I can keep my pedi perfect for two weeks this way. It never happened to me before with other brands.

Opi
Essie
Basecoat - Essie
Quick Dry - Essie "To Dry For"
daily topcoat - Nailtique

Using Essie basecoat and "To dry for" on top. Then, every night (or I try to) use Nailtique top coat. Polish will last for over a week. Oh, also, gotta use rubber gloves when doing dishes, pots/pans, cleaning, grunge work. I'm really bad at remembering that, mainly because I hate leaving them sit out on the kitchen counter, but that makes a HUGE difference in the longevity of my polish. In fact, I want to buy a pair of those cute patterned rubber gloves.

OPI for nail polish
Essie for sheers for my fingers
Seche Vita Top Coat
Sally Hanson Hard as Nails for basecoat / strenghter
Orly - Bonder stickey base coat holds the polsih on really well

OPI works for me.. when you use it, do you use a top coat of clear polish after?

Yup, and I use a base coat. It isn't the chipping that bothers me, it's the little cracks that form in the paint. Maybe it's just the color I have (swedish nude) that does it. The paint doesn't chip off but it cracks within... does that make sense?

I had no idea how hard it was to keep paint on your nails until I started painting mine. No wonder so many of you get manicures weekly!
