Wow, I thought you were a veteran H-sale shopper from how assertive you were! I appreciated you getting me squeezed into the bracelet section. :) and I'm so glad you were able to find a couple of colors that you liked, too!

It was fun meeting you, your sister (who was so cool to hold my spot for a few minutes) and your friends - I didn't catch everyone's tpf handles, so I'll just wave at everyone here. [emoji847]

Likewise! That clic clac section was crazy today! So happy that you got a beautiful lilac one that matches your ring. It was fun to meet so many tpfer's in line.

Omg! I am exhausted from the H sale today in BH. It was so exciting! It was my first time and I didn't want to lose my cool and overbuy just because everything was 50% off. In the end, I really didn't buy much. A few things for friends and a few things for myself. But I thought I would leave a teaser photo here for the bracelet discussion tomorrow. I bought two today at the H sale. Can you spot the new additions?

That's quite a collection MYH! I can't wait to hear your thoughts! I am drawn to the ones that look like belts (Hapi?). I once saw a woman sporting a kelly dog was smitten. Since then, I have been curious about the H bracelets. Do you mix them with other jewelry bracelets? Ok I'm jumping the gun...will just wait for your post..thank you for your great thread!;)

Wow, a 50% off sale! That had to be nuts. Congrats!

There isn't a boutique anywhere close to where I live. When I travel, I always figure out how to visit in person because the online experience just isn't the same. As you mentioned regarding your CSGM, you go in with an idea of what you want and end up leaving with something that you never expected.

Hello everybody! OK, first I have to say, I hope you're not terribly disappointed in this bracelet post. I have quite a few bracelets but they tend to be of the same design just different colors. Once I find something that works for me, I try to collect as many colors as I like. Second, I'm not a huge bracelet stacker. I tend to keep my accessories kind of minimal so really, the most I will stack together is two bracelets.

I'll also talk about the bracelets I used to have (some re-homed) and the bracelets I have tried that have not worked for me.

First, lets talk about the bracelets I do have. My collection consists of:

1. clic clac H (narrow and regular width)
2. Double tour behapi (double-sided and a "twofer")
3. Illusion (double-sided another "twofer")
4. Farandole silver
5. Baby Pavane
6. Reed Krakoff T-bar (non H)
7. Balenciaga (Le Dix marble effect)

Rehomed H bracelets are:
8. Clic Clac H extra wide
9. Fetiche

So first, I have to tell you, I absolutely love Clic Clacs. They are durable (not indestructible) and in my opinion have longevity going for them. My very first H bracelet was a clic clac H regular width orange GHW. I loved it to death! But I didn't realize I had to be careful with the H clasp on top. So over the years, I badly scratched it and felt so sad about it, I stopped wearing it. But one day, I decided to go into my local H boutique and ask if it could be replaced. The answer was yes! So I was delighted and paid ~$80 and 4 months for that part to be replaced and now it looks good as new. Yes, the bottom part will scratch as well but that bothers me less because it always sits on the underside of my wrist and is not easily seen. I've learned over the years that the clic clacs with the white or black H's stay looking new for longer. The enamel part does not scratch easily (or at least doesn't look scratched to the naked eye) and I will tend to go for those first if I see them. They are a little more pricey but in my opinion, worth it. Another advantage of the white or black H is the hardware color is not so prominent so if you have a bracelet you want to stack your clic clac with in another hardware color, it doesn't really "clash". I also love the clic clacs because they stack nicely with my double tour behapi bracelets. In fact, this is my absolute favorite stacking combo. But often times, I will wear the clic clac just on it's own. I don't wear them stacked together because I don't like metal clinking against other metal. In my warped mind, they are scratching each other and I want these expensive bracelets to last as long as possible. In terms of sizing, I actually own both PM and GM. I can wear either size but have now realized, I prefer more movement in my enamel bracelets so now prefer the GMs. I also know some people stick to just GHW or PHW but I have both platinum and yellow gold jewelry so I am fine with collecting both. I'll usually take a look at the enamel color and see if I think GHW or PHW looks best with it and make a decision. Although at the H sale yesterday, I didn't have much of a choice. My favorite width is the medium one but none were readily available yesterday so I swooped up the narrow ones. I got a burgundy in PHW and a bleu indien in GHW. They are my first narrow ones and I think my favorite way to wear them will be stacked with a double tour behapi.

I fell in love with the double tour behapi right away after my love affair with clic clacs. I liked the sleek gold buckle (essiedub mentioned this one) but was so confused at first. Single tour, double tour, triple, quadruple? So many loops it made my head dizzy. But then I noticed the single tours and double tours were "twofers". That won me over immediately. Who doesn't love a bracelet that can be worn on either side? There are so many advantages to this. Space saving in your closet or jewelry drawer and a slight cost savings as well! Also, they are useful when traveling because there's less jewelry to pack. So I proceeded to buy every color combo I liked. I took a (ugly) photo of the two sides to show you the different color combos I have. I decided not to collect the single tours because although they cost slightly less, I just felt that double tours had more impact. I tried triple tours as well (or is it quadruple?) but these are not double sided. And I find that the more times a bracelet needs to go around my wrist, the more tricky the sizing gets. So as I mentioned above, I love to wear the behapis stacked with my clic clacs but I also hook them together and wear them as a quadruple tour around my wrist. I'm not so picky about GHW matching with GHW or PHW matching with PHW. Whatever goes! But I will admit they do look better together when they match. I collect both PHW and GHW in behapis too.

So here are some photos of the clic clacs and behapis.

Continuing on!

I tend to buy bracelets that match my bag colors. When I bought my malachite kelly, these two bracelets quickly joined my collection. A malachite baby pavane and a vert veronese clic clac. I like it when I have something else on me that matches my bag and a bracelet is the perfect compliment. If you can get a scarf to also pick up the colors of your bag or bracelet, that's even better IMO.

I absolutely adore this baby pavane bracelet but sadly, I discovered I liked this style too late. H had already discontinued it by the time I discovered it. So the lesson learned is buy the bracelets you like as soon as you seen them. You never know when they will be phased out. I tend to wear my baby pavane on its own. I don't think it needs stacking and has enough impact all by itself. If anyone happens to see a baby pavane bracelet in size small for a decent price, please let me know! I would love to add more to my collection.

One criteria I have for bracelets is that they don't turn on my wrist. There's almost no way to make sure this doesn't happen 100% of the time but if it's only occasionally, I can deal with it. My behapis will turn on my wrist sometimes and the buckle will end up facing down so I need to turn it back. But I don't like it when this happens. One, the beautiful buckle/clasp is not facing up anymore and two, I think that's how the hardware gets scratched more easily. The hardware will bang against a table or surface and scratch it up. And once my bracelet hardware is all scratched up, I don't think it looks nice anymore. :nogood:

Next...the illusion bracelet. Another "twofer". The reason I started buying this one is because I wanted a bracelet that was wider and had a little more oomph! I'm in the group of people that can't do a CDC. This makes me sad to no end. I just don't feel comfortable when I have it on. It doesn't quite look right on me (IMO) and it's a bit too heavy and has too much hardware for my liking. So when I saw the illusion and imprevisble bracelets come out, I was so happy! I decided to stick with the illusion because the hardware is more streamlined to my eye. And I quickly figured out if you buy one in GHW and another in PHW, you can always switch the straps around and make the bracelet any hardware you want. Can this be called a "threefer"? I don't know!

So the ones I have are capucine/white, colvert/blue atoll, and blue saphir/black. H hasn't made too many color combos yet so I am watching this space closely.

The downside of this bracelet is that it's kind of pricey for a strap of leather and rectangular hardware IMO. It does a pretty good job of not turning on my wrist, but it does happen from time to time.

Another advantage of this bracelet is that there is a small and a medium size. And each size has two size settings. So you can make a Small even smaller on the tighest setting or a bit larger on the looser setting. I like this because sometimes, you want to stack and push the bracelet up your arm. So maybe you want to use the looser setting. Or you are hot and don't want it sticking to you. I find this ability to adjust sizing very versatile.

But usually, since this bracelet is already pretty wide, I wear it on it's own.

Next up! The farandole silver bracelet. I will admit, the only reason I have this bracelet is because the 80cm farandole necklace was a bit too short on my and I bought it to extend my necklace. But I will wear it on it's own sometimes and it's usually stacked with another leather bracelet. Here it is with my behapi.

The rest of my bracelets are non-H. I have two reed krakoff t-bar cuffs (I really adore these and it's so sad this brand is no longer in business) and a Balenciaga bracelet.
ImageUploadedByPurseForum1465523380.669418.jpg

The reed krakoff ones I wear on its own because it's wide and the balenciaga one I wear solo or sometimes with a double tour behapi or my farandole bracelet.

The tan reed krakoff one has both silver and gold hardware as does the balenciaga one. I wish H would do more of these two toned bracelets!

OK, well, I hope I haven't bored you to tears about bracelets and have given some good info about a bracelet you've been thinking about.

I did re-home two recently.
- a extra wide red clic clac
- a fetiche leather bracelet

I love the red clic clac. It was the most beautiful color and I didn't want to part with it but I realized that I preferred a GM instead of a PM for it. On hot days, it would stick to my wrist and I would find it uncomfortable. I still might go back to trying an extra wide in the future if I see a color that sings to me.

The other was a fetiche bracelet. I liked this bracelet and there was certainly nothing wrong with it. In fact, mine was in iris and I could flip the chain d'ancre links around and make it bicolor which I thought was cool. But it was a bit large on my and was always spinning so I let that one go to.

So you see it's really important to get your right size so the bracelet is comfortable on your wrist and also to minimize spinning.

So let's now talk about the bracelets I've tried on that don't work for me.

I believe I've already mentioned the CDC. I know I'm not alone on this bracelet.

The other that makes me sad is the Kelly double tour. I'm in between sizes (the S and M). So on me, the medium spins and the hardware ends up on the bottom of my wrist and the S is too tight. So for this reason alone, I have not purchased any. I have a friend that loves these because the S is the perfect size for her. And she wears it stacked with a chain d'ancre bracelet and it looks absolutely fabulous.

Another bracelet that I have passed on collecting is the kelly dog. There is only 1 size! There reason for this is because there are 3 slots you can use to adjust the bracelet. But on me, I don't like it unless it's on the middle slot so the bracelet looks balanced. I would have to wear it on the last slot and it just irks my eye so I don't buy this one either. :shucks:

The Rivale - I'm not a fan of the way it buckles so I have also decided to pass on this style. But I do like how it looks.

The printed enamels - oh how I wish I could wear these. I have a big hand and a small wrist compared to my hand so it's hard for me to squeeze them on and then once I have them on, they are swimming on my wrist. So I have saved a fortune by not collecting these! And since I do type alot on the computer, I tend to find that oval bracelets or leather bracelets that conform to the oval shape of my wrist are best.

I have, however, started to eye more of the silver bracelets. I have tried on the chaine d'ancre enchain cuff bracelet and it is incredibly comfortable and pretty. Another favorite of mine is the CDC bracelet PM with both silver and rose gold hardware. It's a narrow bracelet that seems to pack alot of punch. I'm just afraid they will scratch easily and look a bit worn after a few uses. For those that have some silver bracelets, how have you found it wears?

OK, I think that's all for me! Please let me know if you want to see any color or bracelet combos stacked or if you have questions about any of my bracelets.
