I have enjoyed this thread so much. I'm glad that your trip proved to be such a success. I visited FSH by myself. My DH took the boys to Disneyland Paris for the day. I think I had more fun.![]()

You made me LOL about your comment about making waiting in line sound fun. I'm glad you're enjoying my little stories. I'm happy to share my experiences with those that enjoy Paris too!Loving this thread and your Paris trip specifically! Sounds like so so much fun together. You have made even waiting in line sound so attractive. [emoji251]
On Day 2, I decided to try and accomplish the other big purchase on my list. I've been wanting a VCA pendant for awhile now but have been unsure which stone to get. I already have a small collection of VCA jewelry and I didn't really want to duplicate stones I already had. I really wanted to splash out with a fun color. Recently VCA has offered a long magic alhambra pendant in many colors but for some reason, none of them spoke to me. I almost pulled the trigger on malachite to match my malachite kelly but I have heard the stone needs some tender loving care and I am kind of hard on my jewelry. So for years, I have waffled about which pendant to get. And I kind of had a goldilocks syndrome with the pendants. I felt the vintage was too small but the magic too big. I know...first world problems. But this is tPF and we all understand these types of problems right?
So about two weeks before the trip, I had a friend on TPF tell me that the blue porcelain line was available now and that it was exclusive to Paris. Say what? Blue porcelain? I have heard of lapis but not porcelain and I have always adored the lapis stone. And blue? omg. I love blue. I wouldn't even need to buy new accessories or scarves to match it! I already have a blue clic clac and many scarves with a deep blue color in it. Perhaps I was only missing a blue electric bag?But hey, we can't have everything! It then clicked in my mind that this was the pendant I was looking for. But then I was concerned. What about the size? Was it a vintage size or the big magic size? I looked on the VCA threads and could tell from some photos that it was actually an in-betweeen size. Not too small and not too big. I couldn't believe my luck. So without getting my hopes up too much, I decided to go and check it out at VCA in Place Vendome.
It was a beautiful sunny day and PbP and I set out for VCA. We walked in the boutique and it was empty. Which was actually really lucky for us because we had many SAs hanging around watching us try things on and bringing us champagne! And they were very generous with the bubbly because they kept asking us if we wanted another glass. Knowing I had to keep my wits about me, I stopped at 2. :lolots: I've fallen for that trick before!
Our SA was a beautiful young french woman straight out of a magazine. And she was very kind and patient and let us try on lots and lots of things. Of course I asked for the blue porcelain pendant first because I needed to know if it was "the one" I had been waiting for. She brought it out and it was perfect. Not too small, not too big and a beautiful deep blue color. I did feel the chain was a bit short on me so I had her lengthen it by a bit. Luckily, the main workshop is in Paris and it would be ready in just a couple of days giving me time to pick it up before I headed back home.
So here are a few photos of our time in VCA and the pendant I ended up purchasing along with the scarves and my clic clac it coordinates with.

Essiedub, we originally met through tpf but became friends since then separate from the forum. The relationships that you form with wonderful people like MyH are the best aspect of tpf in my opinion. I have to be honest that I have mixed feelings about tpf in general and showing off my stuff. I stay involved because I learn a lot and I have met some wonderful people like MyH.

Thank PbP!Absolutely stunning on you my dear!
Ah thanks BJS! it's so funny that we are all pretty familiar with each other's accessories now and know what colors our fellow tPF members gravitate towards.
It's so true that one can meet some great people on tpf and that in itself makes it all worthwhile!
Perfection! This is such a wonderful blue color! I can't think of a better choice for you.

Yes, I bought the flamingo party too. I was the one who asked to see it and corrupted MyH to buy it too. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
The Evelyn is a pm. I thought I would need the gm as I like large bags but MyH helped me with that. The pm is perfect. I am 5'6". Here is a photo.

The picotin is an MM 22 cm. The orange scarf is rendez vous rive gauche and it is a 70 cm. as you know it's not in my normal colors but I loved the design. I think I'll end up tying it to my bag quite often.
Love this entire outfit!!
I see that you are carrying your new Evelyn correctly as well [emoji6]
Wonderful stories. Thank you for sharing[emoji177]
