MYH.. I LUV my Maxi-Twillies. I've been acquiring them since it debut a couple of years ago, starting with Brazil MT. They are truly versatile in the most Chic-est way and can be worn so many different ways.. from Belts, Simple and Triple Knots to Basic Loop.

Here's one worn with MaiTai Fox Fur Collar in Gris Argent in my Kachina Maxi-Twilly looped thru the Fox Fur Collar and double looped around the neck to shorten. One of many, many possible ways to wear MT.

Lovely demo of using MT on a fur collar, Hermes Only Reminds me that I have that same collar as well. Needs to try this with the MT.

MYHHere's a way I wear my only Maxitwilly for a casual day out locally , I'll probably go out like this later when I'm planning a trip to H to see the new scarves.
I wanted to show I'm wearing Stan Smiths but I can't get a good long view . Sometimes it'll be a pair of ankle boots , but anyway this my usual look about town .
I'm mixing navy striped jacket with a black T and red and black Zebra Pegasus MT , I like a mixing navy and black and mismatching seems more modern sometimes.
If I put the black jacket and trousers it looks smarter but then I'd tone it down with Stan Smiths .

I too, adore that bracelet. Style and color.

What a fantastic and unusual combination of colors this is. It really works, and I adore it. If I am being completely honest however, and this is a discussion afterall, I have to admit that I don't care for the maxi twillys in general. Dearest Pocketbook Pup has been trying to persuade me, but I don't see it. I tried one once, and I just didn't like it. Back it went. It's fine as a belt, sure. But I can belt 90s just as well on the rare occasions I want to wear a scarf as a belt. Maybe if I used that look more....but I don't. I played with it as a band on a summer hat, and that was fun, but again not something I would do often enough to justify having the scarf. I didn't like it tied around my neck in any manner, way, shape or form. I tried everything. Unlike the rest of you, instead of feeling like it was less fabric, I felt like it was too wide, too long and too much. And I'm tall, so it's not that. Funny. I have to admit that I didn't think to try it with my mors ring, and I rather love this look on you!

In view of Frou Frou's conversion, PbP's advice and now your tutelage, I will open my mind and heart to at least trying an MT again someday if I ever see one in a pattern and cw that I absolutely adore. There. That's fair!

Hi Pirula - we didn't mean to peer pressure you into a MT! No scarf bullying on this thread. Keeping an open mind generally works for everything when it comes to Hermes. When I first saw the Evelyne bag, I thought it was kinda ugly. Now I have two. Total change of heart and mind.

One pic, I was deciding if I should keep or not (I ended up keeping.). The other is how it fits well with my daily life. I also have a Brazil MT.
They are really easy for me to wear

I am raising my hand MYH. I bought several first issue MTs including a silver and periwinkle Calvacador ( since rehomed), a pink Brazil and DH gifted an orange Brazil. I only wear the Orange these days. I agree with you, something about the flatness of the silk lacks volume, but it looks great with my jean jacket and occasionally my big white shirts in the summer time. I tried every colorway of the zebra pegasus and just could not fall in love with those pesky hooves on my chest lol. I'd rather just use the funds for my crazy obsession with mousselines. But I will post my Brazil's just for you soon as I can muster a photo or two. Here is one that was posted during autumn colors week on SOTD. Think I love this one the most because it is from DH and goes so well with my Barenia cdc, picotin and my Alezan H boots.

Lanit - please reach for your MTs more, especially your orange Brazil. I'm not exaggerating when I saw it looks spectacular on you. Not a lot of people can wear that much orange but you just glow in it.

MYH - thanks for this thread! Your posts are great. I haves scarves in their boxes occupying space in my closet. I tend to buy, wear a few times, & then on to the next thing. Your suggestions help me remember the beauty I have waiting to be worn.

MT's are the same as you described to me. They can be casual and add liveliness to my otherwise routine outfit of jeans & leggings. There are some shawls I would like to look at also. Thanks to tpf & you!!! So easy to become diverted[emoji4]. I will probably put my funds to a shawl next too

OK, I was on the floor when I saw your pics. How come I have never thought of this before? You are a genius! I love this with the fur collar. In fact, I'm going to try this for my next Vegas trip this winter because it's freezing there at the moment. You are so inspiring Hermesonly. Thank you so much for sharing how you wear your MTs.
