Very interesting. I think our climates are pretty similar. I would love to see photos of your other new scarf when you have them.

Wow this is precise. I should look at how many days I actually wore a scarf. It's so true that I wear recent acquisitions more.

I need to pay more attention to soft. I didn't realize that you were wearing csgms and maxitwillies a lot. Csgms are really useful for most of us. What are your favorite ways to wear your maxitwillies and your moussie 140s? I fear my moussies are too flowy and feminine for work. I have been trying myh's double loop. The 90s seem perfect for your climate and you wear them well so I wouldn't feel badly about them. You are using them. But you should definitely look at more cashmeres. Jardin Anglais csgm someday? [emoji1317]
You are the moussie queen. Your photos are the ones that convinced me to try them. What are some of your favorite ways to wear them?

Haha! Yes, precise numbers. I am a quantitative person!
You probably didn't realize how often I was wearing my CSGMs- with only 3, I rarely post a pic on SOTD.

MaxiTwilly- I usually wear in French knot or the criss/cross knot. See pix :

Very nice! Flamingo party is one of my favorites. I keep my maxitwillies in a space of their own. Maybe I should mix them in with my 90s so I think of them more often [emoji848]

How are you wearing your 140 moussies?

IMG_5100.JPG @Pocketbook Pup - Wearing mousselines 140. Original I usually wore them folded on the bias, and then wrapped around. I agree, sometimes feel to much material around my neck- and if we were dining out, worried about food dropped into scarf!
LaniT is great at making the moussies look effortless. Although I love the look of wearing this way, ( first 2 pix) I also found sometimes too much material near my neck, in particular during hotter weather. Just during the last month I started wearing them by folding into a rectangle, then doing a simple knot, just folding over, or scarf ring. ( later pix).
I find I reach for these more in warmer weather since figuring this out! Give it a try!IMG_2495.JPG IMG_5091.JPG

Scarf1 What is the second moussie? I don't recognize. Truly beautiful.

I am exploring the roles of gavroches in my life. I currently only have 3. I got off to a bad start with them because my first one purchased in 2012 had an orange border and hem (L'annee des etoiles). Now I know I just can't do orange or gold borders. Have vowed to rehome it. If I haven't worn it in 5 years, I think it is time for us to break up. The gavroche I bought last summer in Paris (Sulfures) has so much sizing it is stiff as a board. A date with Laundress helped but it needs another go round.

Last season on Dancing with the Stars, I noticed that the contestant who was an NFL player always had on a scarf with his tee shirt in dance practice. The clip would show different days of practice and he would have on a different scarf tied causally to one side or the other. They were not 70 or 90 size, but seemed slightly bigger than a gavroche. Or maybe a 90 looks like a gavroche on someone who is 6'6' and 250# and who has a neck of steel. But anyway, I thought if this mass of muscle can rock a scarf so causally with a tee, I can too.

So today I am bustling around the house wearing my feu du ciel with a purple tee and cutoffs. And I am bidding on another gavroche now. I think they will work for me in the summer heat here.

I didn't proofread before hitting post reply, so the pix got jumbled.
I think the one you are asking about- light pink with purple is Point d'orgue from SS2014. It was the first moussie 140 I bought. I haven't worn it in quite awhile, but seeing how pretty it is, I must make an effort to wear it soon.

It looks so light and airy, it could be moussie advertisement.

Omg. Drooling over your beautiful collection.

I need to think about these more compact ways to wear my moussies. Thanks
PbP, I fold into a narrow rectangle, and then wrap twice around my neck and pull one side through a small scarf ring like the (chain d' ancre shape), and then pull the other end through the fabric loop - Maitai uses this knot somewhere. It keeps it compact and neat.

Your posts are such a treat and what lovely things! My thoughts on Astrologie match yours to a t...no interest in astrology but there is something about the design that forces my wallet to open up and dispense $$$. Congrats on all your new acquisitions!

Late reelt - reading up on your delightful ramblings  Second your AN mild addition - got three, two of them Dipdyes, wintry ones for me, a moss green one and a coppery one, love them to bits

Hello Scarfies!! Anybody there? Has everyone been having a wonderful winter break?

I’m back!! I have figured out a way to circumvent my “image too large” problem!! I’m attaching pics with my iPad now and thank goodness!! I don’t get this error anymore and I don’t have to resize my photos. And I am now using a Bluetooth keyboard so I can type normally. All the tools I need to write a post quickly are finally in place. So I’ve decided to ditch my computer altogether and go with this new solution and will be tending to this thread regularly again! In fact, I’ve made it one of my New Year’s Resolutions to come back and hang out more on purseforum!

I have missed you all so much! This year kind of got crazy around June. Long story short, hubs and I decided to move and I had to handle the move so playing scarves and bags kind of fell to the wayside. But we’re pretty much settled in now and I think I should have some more free time. Yay! And now that it’s scarf weather for almost all of us, I thought now would be a good time to get back into the swing of things with our silks!

So I must hang my head in shame because I did not follow through on my scarf tracking project. Ugh!! I’m going to give it another shot this year so stay tuned for a mid-year update. I do know someone however, that dutifully carried out the experiment as planned. Perhaps @pocketbookpup would be willing to share her results with all of us?? Paging PbP to the front desk.....PbP please come forward!

We have so much to catch up on!! I recently also turned bright red when my friend told me my “Struggling with the concept of an Hermes bag” thread got resurrected. I know...go ahead and LYAO. I’ll wait for the laugher to settle down before I continue.

Are you done yet? Oh not yet.... ok. I’ll wait some more.

Oh and guess what? I got another bag this Christmas. So yep, I appear to have stopped struggling, completely. When the light’s better, I’ll show you all what I got. Hopefully tomorrow!

So this season’s past scarves? What was your favorite? I had high hopes for so many but in the end only one design caught my eye and I ended up with a 90cm and a 140csgm. I think this scarf design was really polarizing. Some of my friends loved it, and some hated it. I clearly was in the “loved it” camp. The subject of the design was one that struck a personal chord with me. I have a secret inner artist in me. I love to sketch, draw, paint, craft, cut, glue, design, fold origami, photograph, throw pottery, and just create art in general. In addition to hanging out at an H boutique all day, my second favorite activity is hanging out at a museum all day. So yep, you guessed it, I doubled down on Tresors d’un Artiste. I actually wanted multiple cws of each format, but I restrained myself (for now). Who knows if I’m going to keep up my resolve.

So for the 90cm, I went with the burgundy cw background. And for the csgm, I went with the light grey background. Both seemed overall very pleasing to my eye and also....they both had lots of emerald green in them. And you know me, I’m always thinking about my little malachite K28. I just adore that bag and love having lots of scarf options to go with it. I also LOVE LOVE the flowers in the corner. I can’t really explain why, it’s just an emotion I feel when I see them. I’m sure many of you also get this feeling with some aspect of your favorite scarves.

OK, without further ado...here are the pics.

Yay! Welcome back! I am delighted that you are settled because this is one of my fave threads. Yes, I saw the 'should I get a H bag' thread and chuckled. I didn't know you back then but have followed this thread and know of your myriad of lovely bags.
