DBTY's will always be around and won't increase as much as the LOVE. You can also get a "copy" of one that looks JUST as beautiful as a Tiffany's for half the price I'm sure, so the money on the LOVE will be better spent?
Thanks Jen and whoops!! Both of you are soooo good yet sooo bad for me!! hahaha. Now the question remains . . do I buy it from the boutique or from Neimans? I feel like with the boutique I get the whole white glove/Cartier experience but department stores have way better exchange/return policies. What do you guys think?
Well... are you thinking of returning/exchanging it? Cartier will take excellent care of you as long as you don't wear it so if it's the size thing you're worried about you could wear it at home a bit and see how it feels... otherwise I think you should dive in and commit to it! 
Shopping at Cartier is fun no doubt, but I'd do Neimans just as fast if I got anything in return ie: points on a customer card or some money back etc. It's the same bracelet in the end! If you want it engraved, definitely buy at Cartier and they'll send it somewhere reputable. I felt safe that if it ended up crooked they'd replace it as it was in their care. (I was shocked they sent it out somewhere but it looked beautiful!)

I'd probably prefer niemans over the Cartier store but it also depends on a lot. Like how you pay. Niemans only takes cash or Amex or their own card. If your card if visa or mc you'd have to go Cartier.... I think years ago the new account at neimans would give you a discount but not sure if it applied to Cartier? Our nm doesn't have Cartier so I've never asked. But I think the new account applied to Chanel even? I think? Might be beneficial to check. And ditto on jen for engraving. If you want engraving I'd go to Cartier store for sure. I think anything with engraving becomes non refundable though too so be sure it's your size and everything before engraving it.

Jen - Yes, I was worried about the sizing issue. I am fitted for a 16 but thought maybe a 17 would be more comfortable but am afraid it will be too big? So the Cartier boutique will allow you to return/exchange it if anything happens? I'm just paranoid about buying from boutiques now because one time, my Chanel strap broke and the boutique couldn't do anything for me. I tried to exchange it but they didn't let me. But at NM, the store let me exchange it no prob even after close to a year of using it!!!

I'm sooo glad you chimed in!!! I was actually going to start a new thread but I guess I'll do it here since I was looking for your input - what would you choose? Cartier love bracelet or the VCA Perlee? I think the Alhambra pendant is beautiful but I am in "bracelet mode" right now!
BTW, I priced a similar DBTY necklace on BN and it was 1/3 of the Tiffany price!!! And it has a 1.4 HCA score, so I am definitely going to go through the BN route. Especially when I get one of their discount containing emails! I was too caught up in the Tiffany increase to think clearly!

I'm posting a pic of the VCA perlee bracelet just in case people reading don't know what it looks like. I won't post a pic of the Cartier LOVE because I'm sure everyone knows what that baby looks like!!
What I like about the VCA perlee is:
1. It's different and not everyone has it
2. It's more girly looking
3. You can take it on/off
4. The design of the bracelet makes it hard for scratches/patina to show
What I don't like about it:
1. I think it only comes in wg and rg? I wanted a yg bracelet (but I did try it on and it looked so nice with my skin tone. . .but I don't know if it'd go with my soleste ring)
2. You can take it on/off (I like the idea of the LOVE being screwed on forever)
3. VCA is inscribed on the bracelet

Haha yup! Definitely not a bill you want to have to explain to your mom. I'm saving my new account discount for something more substantial so it's always Amex for me. Prior to that I would have to have them hold it for a little while I run to the bank for cash lol! That was a lot of work. But definitely call and see if the new account discount applies to Cartier. Might be worth it just to check.
I would go with the 16 for size. When a bracelet is too loose it tends to drive me nuts because it rests at an awkward place. Wen you try it on make sure to put your arm at rest to your side and see where it moves to.
Edit: I prefer the love to the Vca still. The side decorations don't suit my taste. I like my designs to be more simple and fluid. Maybe a little too feminine for me? It reminds me of a cake though which is cute! Lol

get the Love bracelet! you won't regret it. i had the hardest time with sizing since i'm between 16 and 17. i got the 16, thought about exchanging for 17, and ended up keeping 16 because it looked better on me, the 17 turned on my wrist and i don't like that half-way feeling, and i figured out that when i turn my arm palm up, the bracelet slides up further than if i try to push it up with my arm palm down. hope that makes sense.

Kohl_mascara! I think you should get the Love bracelet. I have had mine since Feb
and I love it. I have not taken it off. I am so used to it! I love your diamond pendant
also. The DBTY is beautiful also but if you are deciding between the LOVE and that I
would go with the Love bracelet!

Kohl, one caution of going too big with the Love - if you decide to wear it with a watch, like I do in my avatar, a really loose bracelet may scratch the crystal of your watch. My bracelet can go over the side of the watch a little, but couldn't scratch the face.

Thank you kimber!! Yes, that is my doggie! He is now 4 years old (he had a puppy cut so I guess that's why he looks young!). He is a shih-tzu maltese mix. . .so his coloring is that of a shih-tzu but has a maltese looking face. Though many think he's a hava!! I really do love the Love bracelet. . .I am getting so very tempted!!

I don't plan on wearing it with my watch (I think my right hand would feel naked and neglected!) but I love the option of wearing it there as well! (Though I was thinking of maybe wearing my watch on my right wrist and wearing the love bracelet with my soleste. . .)

You may be surprised to hear that I'm *not* voting for VCA! I can't get over the inscription...
I definitely think the YG Love Bracelet is much more of a classic and I'm sure you'll get one that fits you perfectly for your needs (like whether you wear a watch or not). If I remember correctly you've wanted it for a really long time so I think you'd be happier with it long term. Which route are you going? NM or Cartier? Maybe you can open an InCircle account if you don't already have one! You'd be bumped to the next level with that first purchase lol
