Thank you lily and skyqueen!!!
nld - Thank you for your input. I realized right when I put it on in the morning, it starts to sting my skin and it begins to turn red. But as the day progresses, the irritation and stinging sensation subsides, so I'm thinking my skin is just getting used to it!!! Do you have pics of your .35 H? It sounds beautiful!! The boutique I went to only had I and G colors within the size range I was looking at and didn't have any H =( I would have considered H if they had any! I could still tell the color between I and G so I went with G! And yes, the price difference is huggee between colors!
I agree, the Bloor st store is so much better, they are way friendlier, better service at the counters, and customer service is amazing. yorkdale- I go there because its convenient (I live in Mississauga) and the gardiner expressway is always backed up with trafficThat's very strange Khol... and really disappointing!!! That is a pretty big ticket item!! It's not like it's a $120 silver piece or something... anything with gold or diamonds should be free IMHO!
My Tiffany's is AMAZING... I brought my DTBY necklace (same one as you) in last week when I bought my yellow diamond one and they said "and of course we'll lengthen both necklaces free of charge." I didn't even have to ask! That is how it SHOULD be. I'd also bought a Tiffany diamond cross from ebay (authentic) and had the platinum chain shortened for free a few months ago, no questions asked. I would ask to speak to a manager next time... there's no excuse for this.
That said I HAVE had some inconsistency between the two Toronto stores - the flagship (Bloor St.) is MUCH MUCH more accommodating than Yorkdale (newer store in a high end mall) is. They've lengthened everything for free, cleaned everything and polished for free (platinum/diamonds), let me upgrade for less than the upgrade policy, let me return an unworn celebration ring after it's been sized, and of course most recently honoured the US price for the yellow diamond pendant saving me about $3k! I can't say enough good things about Tiffany's service at this store!
I refuse to shop at Yorkdale anymore... I don't mind browsing there but really can't deal with the less-than service!
I hope your gorgeous pendant stops "bugging" you!! I can't say my cutlet has ever scratched me on it's own - only if I pushed something up against it/slept on it kind of thing, and even then it wasn't that bad. I wonder if my pear diamond will bug me now that you mention it!! I think it had a not-so-totally-sharp cutlet if I remember though... we'll see!
