Thank you lily and skyqueen!!!

nld - Thank you for your input. I realized right when I put it on in the morning, it starts to sting my skin and it begins to turn red. But as the day progresses, the irritation and stinging sensation subsides, so I'm thinking my skin is just getting used to it!!! Do you have pics of your .35 H? It sounds beautiful!! The boutique I went to only had I and G colors within the size range I was looking at and didn't have any H =( I would have considered H if they had any! I could still tell the color between I and G so I went with G! And yes, the price difference is huggee between colors!

I'll see if I can upload a picture soon. It really sparkles; I love it. The store near me didn't have an H either- they needed to pull some in from other locations.

Thanks nld, I would love to see some pics!!!

So I went into Tiffany's yesterday and they told me that there is nothing I can do but "get used to it." Haha. I should've asked Customer Service but I am just tired of the ridiculous service I get at Tiffany's!! So after browsing some wedding bands, I left. Good thing I am "getting used to it" because I don't get rashes around the pendant anymore, though I can still feel the culet stinging me every now and then.

I also find it interesting that the Vegas store where I bought the pendant from refused to lengthen my chain for free. My three diamond platinum pendant was lengthened for free by about half an inch each side so it sits at 17" and I think is the perfect length. However, when I mentioned this to the Vegas SAs, they said it was "strange" and is not customarily done. I am quite irritated that there seems to be no consistency amongst stores!!

That's very strange Khol... and really disappointing!!! That is a pretty big ticket item!! It's not like it's a $120 silver piece or something... anything with gold or diamonds should be free IMHO!

My Tiffany's is AMAZING... I brought my DTBY necklace (same one as you) in last week when I bought my yellow diamond one and they said "and of course we'll lengthen both necklaces free of charge." I didn't even have to ask! That is how it SHOULD be. I'd also bought a Tiffany diamond cross from ebay (authentic) and had the platinum chain shortened for free a few months ago, no questions asked. I would ask to speak to a manager next time... there's no excuse for this.

That said I HAVE had some inconsistency between the two Toronto stores - the flagship (Bloor St.) is MUCH MUCH more accommodating than Yorkdale (newer store in a high end mall) is. They've lengthened everything for free, cleaned everything and polished for free (platinum/diamonds), let me upgrade for less than the upgrade policy, let me return an unworn celebration ring after it's been sized, and of course most recently honoured the US price for the yellow diamond pendant saving me about $3k! I can't say enough good things about Tiffany's service at this store!

I refuse to shop at Yorkdale anymore... I don't mind browsing there but really can't deal with the less-than service!

I hope your gorgeous pendant stops "bugging" you!! I can't say my cutlet has ever scratched me on it's own - only if I pushed something up against it/slept on it kind of thing, and even then it wasn't that bad. I wonder if my pear diamond will bug me now that you mention it!! I think it had a not-so-totally-sharp cutlet if I remember though... we'll see!

I agree, the Bloor st store is so much better, they are way friendlier, better service at the counters, and customer service is amazing. yorkdale- I go there because its convenient (I live in Mississauga) and the gardiner expressway is always backed up with traffic:yucky: when I go to yorkdale I'll go for silver pieces because I am there but my bigger purchases I like Bloor st :smile1:

Thanks Jen. . .I have been a little confused and irked by all the inconsistencies at the Tiffany boutiques. Did you by any chance get the LOVE bracelet while you were in Naples? I have been wondering if the money spent on the dbty can be put to better use elsewhere. . .

Yes I did!!! (I know, I'm on an awful tear lately!) It's here just not on my wrist just yet - we're doing a ton of gardening right now and though I know it'll get scratched EVENTUALLY I'll probably wait until June to put it on!

I got the YG plain one in a size 18 - and had my DH and two DD's names engraved on the inside! I LOVE it - it is SO gorgeous and has such amazing "heft" to it - you wouldn't regret it!!!

(Here I go enabling again!)

I think if you're wondering where you could better spend it you should stick with your beautiful heart pendant and go for the LOVE! :)

haha, you and whoops both!! I am quite happy with the heart pendant and I think it does the job of the dbty ,;). How much was it to get engraved? I am a little nervous since it is so much money so i will have to think long and hard! There is no price increase soon right? Lol

Engraving was complimentary! :) It looks so beautiful. I left room for a third child's name in case we have one too! Is it a lot more than your DBTY? I cannot imagine they'd increase the price again this year but you know with the gold prices going up up up up.... who knows?

It sounds like you've made up your mind! I think you should 100% be in love with a big ticket item like this (that's why I was over-thinking the yellow diamond so much!)
